I agree with you.
And as the article points out...they are showing up when people are desperate...
a very good point to consider as taking up a Christian mission close to home.
Its also a good example of why I have continued to say that conservatives need to take up the task of fixing Detroit. If we don’t, the left will and it will harm all of us.
In fact the spiritual restoration of Detroit is one of the foundations that I consider to be most important.
When it comes right down to it, we lose every battle we don’t bother to fight and the left fights every single battle.
Why do African-Americans embrace Islam? Don’t they know it was Arabs and Islam that sold them into slavery in the first place?
They try to blame the White man and Jewish merchants but it was the Arabs that shipped them, traded in them and still do.
African-Americans, get back to the Church...you want the likes of Farrakhan?
The deception of evil runs deep.
Read the article some of the statements made my heart sink. Especially the example of the family standing around the bed praying with their Bible in hand....and they were deceived.
Good idea!
I’m not Catholic but there are some very solid conservative Catholic organizations in and around Detroit that need to be encouraged and supported. I know a few inner city Baptist ministers who would happily embrace Catholic help.
I can’t really say which are best since I’m Protestant but it would be something FR Catholics could look into to come up with a reliable list of which organizations to support.
This is a reminder on there is what is called the “great commision” commanded by Jesus.
So... Muslims fill the need of every faith do they?
No, but what I am saying is that it is time for those who are Christian to step up to the plate and be the new evangelizers.
What I forgot write in a previous posting was that those of us who are Christian MUST step up to the plate and obey the command of Jesus to go out into the world and “proclaim the Gospel”.
It is a correction to the previous posting.
Thanks cripplecreek.
Quite right. The first Gentile convert to Christianity was an Ethiopian official, who presumably was black (Acts 8). Why doesn’t anyone point that out anymore?
1) Nobody knows history or were taught it properly, especially anything beyond the 1960’s in America.
2) Whatever Hollywood shows in it’s historical adaptations is usually inaccurate to a degree.
3) It would not be PC.
4) Very few seem to know (or want to know) the true origins of the Slave trade in the West.
5) The Arab/Islamic world still deals in slavery, pirating and smuggling just as they have ALWAYS been doing.
6) Blame the “White Oppressor” is popular and even, “in”.
