OH, how beautiful, Alamo-Girl. As you shared your experiences with us, I’ll share my husband’s death with you all. He had leukemia, and almost died the first night we took him to M.D.Anderson. He was in CCU for 15 days, not expected to make it through. But he did. Then came the bone-marrow transplant. And he was not expected to make it through. But he did. And then, when we thought all was going great, he developed J.C. Virus, a virus that attacks the brain and for which there is no cure. We knew he would not make it through that. So we prayed that God would be merciful to him, in his last days. And He was. Gary wanted to come home to die. And they allowed him to. He could not speak, but he could hear. And he heard Scripture, beautiful music, and the voices of all who loved him. God took him after 3 weeks of this virus. It was a peaceful passing and the last words he tried mightily to form was “love”. I am convinced of that, and so is his son. God is so merciful in His grace!
Thank you oh so very much, dear sister in Christ, for sharing your testimony and his with us. And thank God for both of you!
