There are 7 Archangels (Tobias 12:15). We know the names of 3 of them from Scripture:

•Michael (Daniel, Epistle of St. Jude, Apocalypse of St. John), whose name means “Who is like God” and whose Feast is September 29;
•Gabriel (Daniel and Luke), whose name means “Strength of God” and whose Feast is March 24; and
•Raphael (Tobias), whose name means “Medicine of God” and whose Feast is October 24.
The apocryphal Book of Enoch lists the other 4 as:

•Uriel;
•Raguel;
•Sariel; and

“I know many of you say that we Catholics manufacture some of this. No, it is interpeted by the Church — no interpretation by individuals at all.

What about “hosts” of angels?”

I don’t know if this is an example of Catholic usual biblical illiteracy or not, but none of this has anything to do with what I said.

I’m sorry, but you aren’t able to make angels exist in more than one place at a time so that they can hear your heathen prayers. The scripture is quite clear that Gabriel could not both be with Daniel the Prophet and dealing with a demon.

Sorry.

“Raphael healed in the book of Tobit.”

Not that this has anything to do with making an angel omnipresent or omniscient so that he can hear 10 million Roman Papists praying to him, but this is the same Raphael who told lies and taught withcraft.

Hmm, well, I guess that makes him the perfect object of idolatry for Catholics after all.

No one in your religion has any more authority to interpret scripture any more than you or I do...

Heavenly host (Hebrew Sabaoth “armies”) refers to a large army (Luk.2:13; Rev.19:19) of good angels mentioned in the Bible and other Jewish and Christian texts.

It is led either by an Angel of the Lord, Jesus in angelic form (a Christophany), by the Archangel Michael, or by God Himself.[citation needed] Most descriptions of angels in the Bible describe them in military terms, such as encampment (Gen.32:1-2), command structure (Ps.91:11-12; Matt.13:41; Rev.7:2), and combat (Jdg.5:20; Job 19:12; Rev.12:7). The heavenly host participate in the War in Heaven and, according to some interpretations, will battle Satan and Satan’s own army at the End of Days and be victorious.

So where are the angels in the Scripture.

If you look through the Scriptures, you will see exactly where they are located. But, you will not see them responding to humans, but instead will only see them doing what God gives them to do. You see, they were not created for our benefit, contrary to the teachings you may have heard.

They should certainly not be any special days for them to be celebrated, because we see in the 10 Commandments that our God is a jealous God. He did not create angels to compete for our favor. He did not create angels to do our work for us. He does send angels to minister to us, but within the realm of service to Him. The perversion of all of your gobbledygook and speculations about the role of Angels is pure hyperbole designed to take your eyes away from the author and finisher of our faith, Jesus Christ.

Colossians 2: ... 18 Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you for the prize. Such a person goes into great detail about what he has seen, and his unspiritual mind puffs him up with idle notions .

1 Peter: ...10 Concerning this salvation, the prophets, who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care, 11 trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when he predicted the sufferings of the Messiah and the glories that would follow. 12 It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things. ...

Col 2:18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, (KJV)

I actually prefer the KJV in this quote - 'intruding upon things he has no business with' - NO ONE can speak with authority about how the forces of heaven work beyond what the Scriptures detail, which is very little. One would be well met to recall just who and what the fallen ones are, and who it is that requires humility and worship (veneration, prayer) before angels. Then one will be less likely to be beguiled by religious systems that do so.

I personally have no problem chatting with angels, Catholicism or no Catholicism.

A) They exist.

B) This is spiritual battle as much as it is an earthly skirmish.

C) They can listen and can see our affairs entirely, including our talks with them, if we so prefer (to communicate).

After all, consider the reverse.

It would not shock me the least bit to know that Barack Hussein Obama is in regular communication with devils and others of the sulphurous nether world of darkness, sin, rebellion (against God) and pure evil.

“It displays a willful ignorance.”

It also displays a lack of humility and a teachable spirit....something I can relate to.

Humility is not my strong suit.
