I wondered about this event. This country was found on Christian principles. Washington in his inaugural ask the gov to spend the entire afternoon at their place of worship to pray. Unfortunately starting in the 1990’s the US had fallen from God. Clinton started the process and GWB did nothing. Even the GOP establishment accepted sodomy and libertine behavior. IMHO God sent his first warning by letting our enemies to shake us from our security on 9/11. Since then we as a society in general accepted sodomy and have made the expression of Christian values illegal in public/gov. IMHO God has sent his second warning in Sept 2008 with the collapse of our financial system. The next shaking or warning will be 2015 (7 year intervals). Just like ancient Israel when they turned from God, Israel had to be “shaken”. Each shaking is God’s way of warning a nation that they are in sin but have a chance to repent, but if repentance does not occur, the next shaking will be worst then the last one and the process will be repeated till the nation is destroyed. 9/11/2001 cost the US 100 billion, the financial implosion of Sept 2008 cost the US 700 billion to 1 trillion. As a society we have not repented. I will dread 2015.

If I understand correctly, this lady said the founding of this nation was anti-God by a bunch of masons.

Please note, I was unable to open the website given to listen to the interview, thus am basing this on the original Politico article I read.

I was discussing this with a friend and he commented that “it did not sound like the fruit of the Holy Spirit” to him. And I agree with him, especially in seeing the Holy Spirit works as Jesus works; and “by their fruits you will know them.” (I’ll probably get a rash of criticism on that one, but, what the heck)

As I read the Politico article I noticed several things, one was that she has suffered from post-partum depression; two was that she is a member of a ‘nondenominational church’ of which her husband is the minister. I wonder if his nondenominational church includes members who are anti-masonic, as one finds in numerous non-affiliated Protestant churches. If so, she is ‘channeling’ a position that is from the church and not necessarily “holy spirit.”

My conclusion is that she is either “channeling” a demonic spirit, or is interpreting her own depression driven thoughts as “holy spirit given.”

House Stenographer Says Holy Spirit Moved Her to Shout, ‘God Will Not Be Mocked’
http://www.trunews.com/house-stenographer-says-holy-spirit-moved-shout-god-will-mocked/
Excerpt:
“For the past 2 1/2 weeks the Holy Spirit has been waking me up in the middle of the night and preparing me (through my reluctance and doubt) to deliver a message in the House Chamber,” she told Fox News’ Chad Pergram in a statement. “That is what I did last night.”

Thank you for the link, unfortunately I can’t get it to connect.

However, I looked at her full statement as reported by “The Hill” newspaper: “The greatest deception here is, this is not one nation under God. It never was. Had it been, it would not have been. No. It would not have been. The Constitution would not have been written by Freemasons. They go against God. You cannot serve two masters. You cannot serve two masters. Praise be to God, the Lord Jesus Christ. Praise Forever.”

this sentence is, in my opinion, key: “The Constitution would not have been written by Freemasons.” She is directing the comment at Masons and those Masons who were among the authors of the Constitution. I don’t know how many Masons were there. However, I doubt if a majority or probably even a significant number of Masons in the current House of Representatives and the Senate.

Thus is why I’m of the opinion that this is either a demonic or mischievous spirit or her own depression induced mind with anti-masonic teachings in it, that she spoke out specifically against Masons. And thus implied that the entire government was condemned by God, since He is against Masons as she believes that Masons do not believe in Jesus and are Christians.

FYI: I am NOT a member of the Masons.

If I recall my history correctly, a majority of the those involved in writing the Constitution were either pastors or Doctors of Divinity.

All due respect, she sounds more like a prophet of the Old Testament rather than a demon.

She shed light on the cockroaches sitting there with their duplicitous deals and undertakings..

..she called it as it is....a cesspool and not of God's making.

Read your Old Testament warnings from prophets.....they were ridiculed and called names too....but their warnings came true.

Yes, like an old Testament prophet who is directing criticism directly at Masons. It is the target that gives me pause in this. Seeing that most of the congress-critters involved are probably not member of the Masonic Lodge, then where is the criticism for them? Are they also not part of this problem.

I’m looking not only at the wording (which a knowledgeable demon would use) but at the target. Thus I think it is from her own subconscious rather than either heavenly or demonically inspired.

Can someone point me to a reliable article on the history of the Masons, and why these have been so controversial?

I can’t point you to any article (maybe Wikipedia?) but in my readings the Masons are sort of the Unions of this age. You couldn’t get a job laying, cutting or designing stone buildings if you were not a mason in the 1500-1600’s. Somehow they made rites, prohibitions and pomp over being Masons. Eventually others became Masons, paying in to this ‘Union’ if they wanted to get any buildings erected. Once the money began pouring in, they expanded to the richer factions and set up rites and rules for members and they never forgot God, Christianity or reverence. They pissed off a whole lot of people who dubbed them a closed, secret society that ate babies, shit on the Bible and caused mayhem. Much like the Unions today, but extremely more efficient. Flame suit on.

I listened to the entire interview. I listened to the complete recording of her on the floor of the House of Representatives, at the microphone, on the podium.

Having spent quite a few years as a parishioner in a Pentecostal church, and having been trained as a lay minister for Messianic Jewish ministries, I can state the following:

The respondent that wrote of the judgments of Israel the Old, and balanced them out to two major events in our own recent history, has merit.

I suggest that for those who wish to argue this point, refer themselves to “the minor prophets” in The Old Testament. You know, the ones that may three printed pages, or so, each. They are called minor, as compared to the historical record of some of the more well-known prophets, but ‘for some strange reason’, they managed to be named and recorded, as well.

AS one who loves this nation, born into it, defended it, and even with my age and condition, would do so, again, I say, for the record:

“We done did the dog!”

My father was in the Masons....

..He was a pretty trusting soul....church going....and still he adhered to all their secret stuff....even carried a Masonic Bible (shudder)

I never thought much about it as a little girl.....

He always told me they looked out for their own...(& that may be true)

But like any organization (usually) there is the bottom rung doing their thing and abiding by simple rules..

..and then there is the hierarchy.

And through the years we have read and realized the hierarchy is not Godly.
I'm sure I will have some pushback here at FR....but from what I've read, they are not!

My dad never believed anything bad about them......he even became a Shriner.--(they only saw the 'fun', the parades, the Shriner Hospital, etc.--(which I guess does do good and that I commend)--
He didn't want to hear about hierarchy or what their core beliefs are.

So I prevented them from performing a graveside service over him (which they will do once the official service is over and the pastor has left the grounds)

I believe this woman who spoke out was suggesting this type of organization wormed its way into some of our founding fathers thoughts and writings and disrupted our nation's purity.
