This is so true.

I know that this isn’t a place for debate, but I think I’m OK because I’m saying something intended to be good and to be wise without disparaging anybody.

A lot of folks have disagreed with various particulars of Osteen’s ministry and even mocked him bitterly. I know little about Osteen myself.

I’ve been trained by the Lord long enough, however, to see past human flaws to the Lord who is working to inspire in the flawed human. And I see Jesus in here. In spades. With a power that is not common among more conventional preachers. It’s my hope that any Osteen critics would give the Lord the according appropriate praise after exercising discernment upon the message. Note that I said give it to the Lord, not to Osteen. Some valid, even important prophets were dicey people both before, during, and after their prophetic ministrry. But don’t let the way the vessel looks bias you as to the contents. God is “sly” that way. It’s exactly what you might expect out of a God bent on blessing. He will get the message through whatever opening He can.
