Groundbreaking ceremony held for new "Citeaux Center" in London

Following Pope Benedict XVI's successful visit to the United Kingdom in 2010, the Vatican announced today the groundbreaking of the Citeaux Center, just a few blocks east of Elizabeth Tower in London.

The official website for the facility says that it will include a parish "to be run separately from the Archdiocese of Westminster in England but open and accessible to all members, visitors and the Greater London community". The nave is planned to occupy four floors of the 12 story building.

Besides the worship space, the plan is to include a museum recreating a thirteenth century oubliette, as well as a theater, performing arts center, fitness center, swimming pool, basketball court, childcare services, art exhibitions, bookstore, and culinary school teaching Italian and seafood preparation.

The project is intended to foster better relations between Catholic and Anglican Brits, according to the website, stating that it is intended to be "a platform for ecumenical dialogue....It will strive to promote inter-community peace, tolerance and understanding locally in London and across the United Kingdom". The Citeaux Center is being self-consciously modeled on Manhattan's noted "Park51" center in New York City.

I saw this in an email earlier today, but no source was provided. Anyone know anything about it?
