And besides that you are always a Catholic due to the indelible mark on your soul from your Baptism, two if you were confirmed.

I’m sure Dolan was just mistranslated. :)
I stated that the Catholic Church is in the main, socialist.
This is another piece of evidence.
Reform in healthcare is one thing... a hostile takeover of 1/6th of our economy (at a minimum) is totally another matter. Lift the remaining veil off the Catholic Church and let us see it in all it’s nakedness.
Abandoned the Methodist Church long ago... reaching a breaking point caused by breathing in the stench of raw sewage spewing out of a gigantic sewer main linked directly to the UMC HQ’s in Washington, DC.
If Cardinal Dolan doesnt know that he has been played for a fool, then, sadly, he is like Mahoney and many other prelates who dont see the danger in courting men of wealth and position. Such people are like tigers who can be counted on to act like tigers and so kept at a distance.
Leo XIII had a very clear view of this situation of the Church during his reign and his great encyclicals on social justice, which the USCCB claims to follow, see the dangers to the faith that are inherent in all the modern political movements, including liberal democracy. The Church cannot refuse to have a role in politics. But for some time I have wondered how the USCCB could hope to sway the Democratic Party to respect its primary mission. They can expect no more from the likes of Obama than the Church could from the Fascists, the Mexican Revolutionary Party, or the Nazis.
I agree.
Mandating the purchase of health insurance that covers every conceivable medical treatment does not mean people will have access to healthcare. The Bishops are wrong to believe it does.
Many of the Catholics on FR have had their blinders on about this.
It also gives me hope that God wins in the end, however; we'll be "living in interesting times" through the Tribulation. Yeah, I do think it's happening soon and I pray for strength and guidance for those days and also the present times.
Yes they have.
Many of the Catholics on FR have had their blinders on about this.
Name one, please. I'm afraid I can't think of a single one who hasn't been critical of the USCCB and their leftist agenda.
(Caveat: there are a select few bishops in this country who actually came out against Obamacare because it was a violation of the principle of subsidiarity. Nowhere near the majority...in fact, a distinct minority, but they were there...)
