I find it interesting that he is so willing to make clarifications on his comments on economic policy but not on his equally questionable comments involving Catholic teaching.

I'll take 100 Thatchers, please. And put them all in the U.S. Senate.

I'm sorry you feel that way. Thatcher was quite liberal regarding abortion.

Margaret Thatcher’s views on abortion might surprise you

I made a mistake there, then. You’re quite right—— I’m sorry. She was no good at all on abortion.

“I have never enjoyed bragging rights on our own US Bishops Conference or their forthcoming “forays” into liberal causes and effects.

Certainly this pope has stepped on his mission by wagging with wags, and it hurts. I remain loyal to his kindness and his precious, loving face, but wince at his naivety on freedom and capitalism. His Argentinian experience belies the facts in so many cases.

Maybe the phrase, “bless your heart, Francis dear...” would be useful about now.”

Probably the most succinct description I’ve heard yet. You expressed my own feelings perfectly.

I can’t say how happy I am to hear you get it. Our Holy Father is a saint, in both deed and countenance— of that I am in awe. I love him and remember his simple Jesus-like, humble demeanor at his presentation. “PaPa Francesco”, wasn’t that it?

But, oh my, his unfortunate polical experience has skewed his understanding of Western terminology as it regards free enterprise under capitalism. “Trickle down” has proven itself already, in the US, and we were the envy of the world.

Obama has strangled “trickle down” with regulation, and small business with it. All in the name of “equality, fairness and the poor, the underprivileged”. We can not give props, neither in word or deed, to those who choke off man’s labor and fruits of it. “Bless his heart.” :)

Thx, Rita
