In suspending “Duck Dynasty” star Phil Robertson, A&E may have given evangelical Christians an opportunity to mobilize and stand up for their beliefs, David Brody said Friday on “The Kelly File.”
“(Evangelicals) are very upset at A&E for pulling the plug,” said Brody, who’s the chief political correspondent for the Christian Broadcasting Network. “You don’t mess with Duck Dynasty and evangelical Christians.”
Brody told Megyn Kelly that of the 85 million evangelicals currently in the United States, only a quarter of them vote, leaving the door open for liberal groups to take advantage at the polls.
“This is a gay rights lobby that’s a well-oiled machine,” Brody said. “They have the money and they have the passion. Are evangelicals going to match the passion? At this point, they haven’t, but Duck Dynasty might change that.”(continued)

evangelical Christians? How about just Christians in general? Wake up people! If it happened to them it could happen to all of us.
How do you mean? Evangelicals, along with Charismatics and similar congregations make up 30-40% of the population, IIRC.

Same ol thing - Give them someone to vote *FOR* and you will see them in droves. Thinking they will vote *AGAINST* the homos is a waste of time.
Americas decline will not be reversed at the ballot box. We have subsidized moochers with IOU’s for generations now, they’re not suddenly going to “see the light”.

Hopefully it will motivate constitutional lovers of all faiths. On that note and as Rush Limbaugh said the other day, A&E has every right to cancel programming. And in turn viewers have every right to boycott all a&e programming.
Yeah, I’m not sure about that 25% figure, looks low to me. I looked around and I am getting everything from 40%-50% who are eligible not voting, which means more than 25% voting. Of course the sources I found didn’t link to any sort of real polling either.
I seriously doubt that only 25% vote.

There is a seething, built-up anger out here in flyover country at the cultural elites who have been trashing and attacking all the long-held values, beliefs and traditions we hold dear. You can taste it in the air. These things are not just simple ideologies. They are our “identities.” Our souls. This is what is under attack.
It won’t take much more to set things off.

If you want to support the Robinson's, they are Duck & Buck Commander.
If you want to punish A&E: Buy NO DD products (That would be Walmart). Boycott the advertisers that don't back the Robinson's and cancel your cable. If you cancel your cable, let the service provider know that the bundling of offensive networks in their cable packages is why.

So true. Very few will make the effort to simply vote against someone. Barack Obama in the White House for a second term is evidence of THAT.
