DECEMBER 24, 2013 Mazel Tov, Christians! Most Jews Wish You A Merry Christmas By Dennis Prager
As a Jew, and a religious one at that, I want to wish my fellow Americans a Merry Christmas.
Not Happy Holidays. Merry Christmas.
I write, my fellow Americans because, as reported by the Pew Research poll released just last Wednesday, nine in ten Americans say they celebrate Christmas.
Apparently, many Americans have forgotten that Christmas is not only a Christian holy day, but also an American national holiday. Just as we wish one another a Happy Thanksgiving or a Happy Fourth, so, too, we should wish fellow Americans a Merry Christmas.

Thank-you, God Bless, and Merry Christmas to you in return Mr. Prager!
Merry Christmas one and all and fellow FReepers! Happy Hanukkah to my Jewish brethren. I’ve noticed in the past week or so between shopping and work(I work in a nursing home) folks have been saying Merry Christmas a lot. It’s nice to hear it. Heck, even ‘’Patel’’ at the 7-11 near my house where I get my paper(NY Post) has been saying it. Along with the “Duck Dynasty’’ thing people, good folks like us, have had enough of PC bullsh!t and this might be a turning of the tide. As an old Leftie I’ve been telling conservatives for years the only way to deal with lefties and this kind of crap is either ‘’just do it’’(like keep saying Merry Christmas or God Bless America) take them to court or threaten to punch their lights out, lefties are cowards. Usually just the threat of the latter is enough to shut them up because they’re hoping to play on our ‘’Christian values’’ and expect us to meekly succumb to their will. The Left never fights for anything only against something ( like Christianity, decency or morals). Cheers everyone!
Shalom Aleichem back to you!
I sense as well that more people are becoming welcoming to saying the words “Merry Christmas” once again and now with the recent issue surrounding DD and the liberals KNOWING that there are devout Christians out there that are Bible-believing Christians who are no-nonsense just like the folks on DD who do mean business.
Hanukkah was at Thanksgiving this year.
Next year in Jerusalem!
I have several Jewish friends who send me Christmas cards and they always write ‘Merry Christmas’ in the greeting. Dennis Prager is such a man, one of my favorite columnists.
Thank you!
There's a time to stop turning the other cheek.
I can't believe that God just wants us to roll over and play dead.
“Love one another as I have loved you.”
Your welcome. Blessed Christmas to to you and yours.
So, my mistake, oy! :-)
Indeed Salvation. But there is a time to fight that which is evil.
You realize Chanukkah ended twenty days ago, right?
I do now, oy! :-)
