While some of the medias claims about Francis are excessive, at least one is dismayingly real, one which Coppen never allows: that Francis is more liberal than his predecessors. Indeed, not a week passes without some new papal statement or action to puzzle conservatives and embolden liberals.

The internet is a great place to gain knowledge of completed Jews throughout history to the present day. You might want to start here:

Any priest who is still saying those words is a disobedient priest. And, "Yes", they are speaking falsely.
From the missalette:
“TAKE THIS ALL OF YOU, AND DRINK FROM IT, FOR THIS IS THE CHALICE OF MY BLOOD, THE BLOOD OF THE NEW AND ETERNAL COVENANT, WHICH WILL BE POURED OUT FOR YOU AND FOR MANY FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS. DO THIS IS MEMORY OF ME.”
Sorry this is all in caps, but it is that way in the missalette.
Thank-you; but I’ll stick with my Bible, authored by the Holy Ghost.
What in the world precipitated THAT question given my response? You asked if I had knowledge about who goes to heaven and I said only God can know that. Were you looking for a different answer...or what?
Are you a sola-scriptura person?
Yes, I know about “pro multis” (Matthew 26:28; Mark 14:24). But I wasn’t referring to that specifically, anyway.
No, I’m a Roman Catholic who believes the dogma “extra Ecclesiam nulla salus”. Do you believe that same dogma?
You are Catholic? WOW...I thought for a minute after the remark about sticking to your Bible that you were non-Catholic and, thus, not open to both faith and reason. I thought you did not want to learn about the wonderful Jews that had become followers of Christ because this was not in your Bible.
As for “extra Ecclesiam nulla salus” ...of course...I believe fully in the Teaching Magisterium of the Church. ;-)
Thanks, I was hoping and praying you would say that.
Now please give me your thoughts on this statement below; do you think it contradicts EENS:
There is a phrase from the Second Vatican Council that is essential: it says that God showed Himself to all men and rescues, first of all, the Chosen People. Since God is faithful to his Promise, He did not reject them. The Church officially recognizes that the People of Israel continue to be the Chosen People. Nowhere does it say, You lost the game, now it is our turn. It is a recognition of the people of Israel. That, I think, is the most courageous things from Vatican II on the subject. Archbishop Bergoglio
Where did you get this quote? I’ll try to remember to respond to this tomorrow after you share where the quote is from...as it’s getting late here and I still have the Rosary to do. May the Peace of the Risen Lord be with you this night.
:-)
“Hold on to dreams, for if dreams die,
Life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly.”
Also the Jesuit vow of poverty is pretty akin to St. Francis' ideal
Finally, I can attest that the Jesuit focus on education is very good
But Francis Xavier was,
On the cross: jesus Christ, king of the Jews. Still here after two thousand years, against all odds, just as the Church is. An enigma.
The gate is open but the way is narrow.
I’ll supply the source of the quote of Archbishop Bergoglio as soon as you tell me whether or not you agree with the statement in question.
Source matters you know. Cuz it’s probably one of the following:
mistranslated, out of context, biased........
You know, same ole same ole.
Haven’t you learned by now? Francis could be quoted as saying “Jesus Christ is not God” and the same people will come in here and call your rants anti-papal, your sources biased, blah blah blah.
