“As Romney has said, many of his religion’s leaders are pro-choice”.

And so is Romney. Maybe being for the murder of the unborn makes a Morman “devout”. It must be, it’s their official stance.

By the way the no abortion but with exceptions clause has been the official position of the Republican Party for years. The republicans that have a true pro-life stance and believe every child has a right to life, are ostracized by their own party and called EXTREME right-wingers by the party of death, the democrat party.

What makes a practitioner of Mormonism devout, is whether he applies for and passes his examination for temple membership, if he does pass, then he is issued ID which allows him to enter and participate in the secrets of the Temples, that we see in many major cities.

He must go through that process every two years, and few Mormons are in that circle of the most devout, the most devoted, some say that only about 15% are.

The lessor Mormons attend regular Mormon churches and are not allowed inside the temples, or even to witness the marriages conducted inside.

Governor Mitt Romney: I’m proud of my faith. There is nothing I distance myself from. There are Mormons in the leadership of my Church who are pro-choice, and they do not violate that. Your not a lawyer, but you have to read that a little bit more carefully. For instance my Church says, that if you have sex outside marriage that you could be excommunicated. Now, do we make a law that says that? No

Can you post that portion of the GOP platform?

Romney said that he disagree with the platform, because it doesn't have exceptions.

In case you don't respond, I want people to know that you either made that up yourself, or got it from somewhere else, it isn't accurate.

The GOP platform is firmly pro-life.

"the unborn child has a fundamental individual right to life which cannot be infringed."

Romney's veep choice reflected the no exceptions platform.
