53% of Americans-- including 58% of white Catholics and 56% of Latino Catholics-- now support same-sex marriage, according to a survey conducted by the Public Religion Research Institute.
In 2003, Americans opposed same-sex marriage by a 59%-32% margin.
Roughly three-quarters (73%) of Catholics believe that most of their fellow congregants are opposed to same-sex marriage, the survey continued. However, Catholics who regularly attend church are in fact divided on the issue (50% favor, 45% oppose).
Majorities of Americans perceive three religious groups to be unfriendly to LGBT people: the Catholic Church (58%), the Mormon church (53%), and evangelical Christian churches (51%), the survey added. At least two-thirds of LGBT Americans perceive both the Catholic Church (73%) and evangelical Christian churches (67%) as being unfriendly toward LGBT people.

“It started long ago in 1968”
The churched generation gave their children’s religious training over to the public school system.
This post is confirmation of a vision Pastor David Wilkerson had in 1974 concerning End Times. It was so disturbing, Wilkerson detailed the vision in a book as well as a sermon.
Please take time to listen to the sermon. It is around an hour long in four parts.

In a more traditionally-oriented parish (Latin Mass in my case) you WILL hear about these abominations. The homily will not drone on endlessly, however, as the flock is already uniform on its acceptance of Catholic principles of life and family.
thats a good question, where were they when they legalized abortion?
Yes, artificial birth control.
The whole mess is the sorry fruits of Vatican II. Planned this way by you-know-who (The prince of darkness).
I don’t either, since there’s no way they polled every single American Catholic.
I do not conduct my life in response to polls.
All the more important will be our response to answer the call for a new evangelization!
I highly recommend Dr. Ralph Martin’s new book: The Urgency of the New Evangelization: Answering the Call.

Onward Christian soldiers!!!!!

Again, the organization that did the survey — the Public Religion Research Institute — is progressive/leftist.
This pro-gay organization ( http://www.haasjr.org/programs-and-initiatives/gays-and-lesbians ) has given hundreds of thousands of dollars to the Public Religion Research Institute to support their pro-gay efforts (see http://www.haasjr.org/our-grants/grant-search?page=2&keys=public%20religion ).
That is the problem. We live in deep south. It gets mentioned all the time. Where do you live?
“I dont believe it. Propaganda! The Marriage Amendment passed in VA with 57% of the vote (affirming traditional marriage).”
Eight years ago. Where this issue is concerned, that’s a lifetime.
Philly....enough said.
Some scary stuff. But what is Christ to do? So few listen to Him. In all the years I’ve ridden the train to and from Chicago, I’ve only once seen someone reading the Bible, and that’s because I was traveling with my husband. :)
