Air Force Academy removes Bible verse from cadet's whiteboard

The Air Force Academy removed a Bible verse posted on a cadet's whiteboard after it determined the posting had offended other cadets, a spokesman for the academy said.

The cadet wrote the passage on the whiteboard posted outside his room. "I have been crucified with Christ therefore I no longer live, but Christ lives in me," the verse from Galatians read.

Mikey Weinstein, director of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, told me 29 cadets and four faculty and staff members contacted his organization to complain about the Christian passage.

"Had it been in his room - not a problem," Weinstein told me. "It's not about the belief. It's about the time, the place and the manner."

He said the Bible verse on the cadet's personal whiteboard created a hostile environment at the academy.

"It clearly elevated one religious faith (fundamentalist Christianity) over all others at an already virulently hyper-fundamentalist Christian institution," he said. "It massively poured fundamentalist Christian gasoline on an already raging out-of-control conflagration of fundamentalist Christian tyranny, exceptionalism and supremacy at USAFA."

Because of people like Mikey Weinstein, I almost want the Muslims to take over America for a couple years so they can learn what tyranny and “gasoline on a (literal) fire” is like.

I am surprised that any of our prestigious academies would have such complainers.

So if someone displays a rainbow flag, will they be forced to remove it if someone else finds it offensive?

Fortunately for them, when the shit hits the fan and it is their last moments on Earth, GOD will still listen to them; question is, will they still be so cocky? Aint no atheist in a fox hole; I'm pretty certain there were no atheist's in the skies over Germany either; or the guys flying support for the guys in the foxholes present day. Must be nice to be so ignorant stateside. Let's re-interview these peep's after they have been deployed into "hot" area's.

“...surprised...would have such complainers.”

This is Obama’s Progressive Democrats’ War on Christianity. He has muslims as his advisors
and Sec. of Def. and CIA director.

From a Christian perspective, the AFA is an unholy land.

and since homosexuals offend many people by their very existence.... will they also be removed?

and muslims? pretty offensive to those that have lost loved ones to those animals. they’ll be removed at once... right?

what about people that endorse the killing of babies? thats really offensive... any supporters should be removed

and then there are those marxists or commies .... REALLY offensive listening to their bs. they’ll be removed as well... right?

yea, I won’t be holding my breath

While I can see certain verses, especially without context, might be offensive, being offended by that one suggests mental issues.

This was a cadet making a personal statement of faith, and he was rebuked by a puke who makes his living attacking Christianity in the guise of standing up for Jews. He’s a pathetic joke, but he revels in it. This man knows nothing of freedom, and unless he changes, so he will be enslaved.

one religious faith (fundamentalist Christianity)

I post Scripture all the time on my FB timeline and I'm not a 'fundamentalist'. All Christians share Scripture.

John 15:20 NKJV
Jesus said "Remember the word that I said to you, 'A servant is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also."
