Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

When Mt. St. Helen's erupted many years ago, it left acres of devastation. For as far as the eye could see, there were only blasted tree stumps. Yet, much of that area has burst forth into new life since that event.

The Exile to Babylon was nearly as devastating to the Israelites. Jerusalem was destroyed, the Beautiful Temple burned to the ground, and all the walls and gates reduced to rubble. The Prophet Isaiah has no illusions about the depth of the destruction, and does not mince words. However, he speaks of a "Holy Remnant' that will sprout anew, giving new life to what was a blighted field of tree stumps.

With what has been happening in the world today, it is tempting to become discouraged. Even the Great Prophets of God had their moments of depression and despair. Yet, from this Passage, which uses the imagery of nature, we are assured that the "Holy Seed" will not die out.

Come and pray For The Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, Fo0r Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Hallelujah and Amen

ML/LTOS

That dramatic recovery at Mt. St. Helens in such short time — showed the scientists that they were wrong in their previous estimations that it would take thousands of years for that to happen. They were astounded!

The devastation was TOTAL when it happened. I was there and I saw the aftermath, firsthand, and saw entire forests laid flat and everything stripped off the land with not a single shred of life visible. I’ve been back many times since then (and was there many times before it happened).
