Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

The Trees of The Bible

Daniel 4:11-12

New American Standard Bible (NASB)

11 ‘The tree grew large and became strong
And its height reached to the sky,
And it was visible to the end of the whole earth.
12 ‘Its foliage was beautiful and its fruit abundant,
And in it was food for all.
The beasts of the field found shade under it,
And the birds of the sky dwelt in its branches,
And all living creatures fed themselves from it.

Our Father,
Who Art in Heaven,
Hallowed Be Your Most Holy Name!
For You Alone Are Worthy,
You Alone Are Holy,
You Alone Are The Most High!
teach us To Put Our Trust In You,
And Not In The Princes Of The Earth,
Or In Worldly Governments To Provide for Us,
For You Are Our provider, Our Refuge, and Our Strength.

We Pray For The Swift and Sure Coming of Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Establish His Kingdom,
and Make All Things Right.

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Our next Bible Tree is one that appears in a dream to Nebuchadnezzar, the King of Babylon. It is a lofty, mighty, Fruitful Tree, that provides a home and sustenance for all its creatures. The Tree represents the King himself, who was the Mightiest Man on Earth at the Time.
Daniel, a Captive Hebrew, Explains the meaning of this dream. The tree will be cut down and reduced to a pathetic stump, but a metal ring around it will keep the stump from dissolving completely. And, sure enough, The king suffers a mental breakdown, is brought to the point of wandering homeless, eating grass like an ox, his hair and nails grown out and ragged, for many years until he finally comes to the realization that the God of Daniel IS God.

We are not to look towards Government or Kings for our sustenance. And, Kings are NOT to think that they are all things to all men. The Mighty Dream-Tree of Nebuchadnezzar is the Lesson for That!
