Our Father in Heaven
Hallowed be Your Most Holy Name!
We Worship You and You Alone. For You Alone Are Worthy
Of Glory, Honor, Worship and Praise!
Everlasting and Almighty God!

Abba, Father,
Our Hearts are filled with Wonder in Your Presence!
Let us not be distracted by all the chores and business of life
And keep us from "Cooking Up Schemes" to try and Force Your Hand.
Let us learn The Joy of Stillness,
Of Sitting at Your feet,
Or absorbing Your Wisdom into Our Hearts,
And Knowing You..

We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem,
The Apple of Your Eye,
According to Your Will and Promise.
We Pray For the People and Leaders of Israel,
that They Will Look to You for the Protection
and Prosperity of their Nation.
We Also Pray For Revival in our own Beloved USA.

We Pray For The Swift and Sure Coming of Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Establish His Kingdom,
and Make All Things Right.

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

We should not be too harsh with Jacob for his attempt to influence the mating of his sheep with "magical thinking". Remember, he was still "Jacob" at this point in his life, still the trickster, and the schemer. He had not yet "Wrestled With God" to become "Israel", and he was centuries away from receiving the Law of Moses. The real problem happens when those who have RECEIVED the Word and have embraced it, continue on with magical thinking. While we might not go as far as Jacob did, whittling poplar sticks to create a herd of spotted sheep, we often carry objects that are supposed to protect us or give us a blessing. May we all have a time of Wrestling with God, to come to the realization that His Grace is Sufficient and we have no need to resort to "magic".
