Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

In the heat of battle, King David had a foolish craving for water from his native town, which was behind enemy lines. Instead of keeping this stray thought to himself, he expressed it out loud.
His "Mighty men", who were his Officers and also his friends, took it upon themselves to infiltrate enemy lines and risk their own lives to grant him his desire.
Imagine David's shame when he was presented with this water, knowing what his loyal friends had risked for his sake!
As David pours out the water before the Lord, he not only pays tribute to the Almighty with this Precious Gift, but also Honors the Courage and Loyalty of His Mighty Men. This Memorial Day, let us not forget the incredible sacrifices that are made for our Freedom. And let us also remember to Thank God for Our Own "Mighty Men".
