It’s telling, all right. It tells of a direct challenge to authority, defiant disobedience masquerading as humility. Uriah Heep in clericals — both of them.

"Woe to the pastors, that destroy and tear the sheep of my pasture, saith the Lord."

But that doesn’t mean u ignore wrongdoing as a culture

Those same platitudes excuse all the relativist behavior

Its ruined what we once were

Especially about illegitimacy and queerdom

None, but those who condone homosexuality in the Body of Christ are complicit. More evidence of a charade within the RCC pretending to be the only church, when they instead promote worship of anything other than through faith in Christ.

Thanks - I got a better understanding of your first post. I agree that the RCC is a "bit" misguided about it's importance in the big picture. I think they misinterpret the Bible in many ways and put way too much importance on the Pope and those who follow on down the chain. I usually try to engage in conversations with them in ways that bring the Bible into play. I think it's more useful than going on the attack because it gives us both better perspective.

This isn’t about me...it’s about the Pope. I’m not going to question his desire to meet with sinners and or talk to them and or say a Mass with one. What we don’t know is what might’ve been said behind closed doors. Not all actions are as they appear. So you and I will disagree in the Pope meeting with someone neither of us may care for, I’d hope for the same with me should to ever have the good fortune of meeting with the Pope.

I’m with you on Pope Benedict. He saw the pedophile mess and quietly, behind the scenes appointed very conservative cardinals. Also, he saw to the cleaning up of seminaries which were truly liberalized beyond recognition. I still find it interesting that he stepped down and wonder whether there wasn’t something specific he found and couldn’t find a solution to.
