Salvation in Jesus Christ is the center of the gospel. Whether rich or poor, all classes need to be told the way to eternal life.

The social justice/liberation theologians have fooled many into thinking that poverty issues (money) are the Bible's main message.

Well, this here Catholic never heard that “poverty is at the center of the Gospel.” But of course, I’m your basic pre Vatican 2 type.

This is what all normal Catholics believe. They also believe voluntary charity is desirable and expected as well.
