The Key Scroll sounds like it would be a good subject for an Indiana Jones movie.
It is not from the first century, it is from the destruction of the First Temple, centuries before.
Thanks.
To be clear, the subject of the Copper Scroll is the First Temple artifacts. The Scroll might have come later, perhaps encoded from a more conventional original.

Yeah, but Indiana already went after the Ark, so they can’t do that again, and that would really be the best climax for a “Copper Scroll” movie. Nobody would get too excited if, after 90 minutes of running around, Indy finds the High Priest’s vestments or some jar of anointing oil.
Maybe they could do it for “The Librarian” series, or “Tomb Raider 3”.
So you didn’t find the $3 billion in gold and silver interesting?
The scroll itself is 1st century CE. No evidence it refers to the first temple artifacts.
I am well aware of conventional wisdom.
Oh brother
hehe
I personally know some of the researchers who have had their hands on the Copper Scroll. One of them used to post on FR, and his wife still might. I’ll see if I can reach her.
The reality is far more difficult to establish than is usually portrayed.
CE? CE?
You mean AD?
Thanks for the link I watched all three of the Copper Scroll Project Videos. Very interesting and easy to understand.
hmmm. If God wants it to be found, it will be. I think it would be great if they could find some of the original pieces from the Temple and use them in the third Temple. Of course, I will go into hiding at that point.
Certainly better than a crystal skull.
Not as interesting as the potential to find the Ark of the Covenant.
"Well, the copper scroll had to be written just immediately before the destruction of the temple," Pfann explained. "It actually fits the glove perfectly for these people known as the Zealots, who were the priestly group, who were holding down the temple, who were keeping it from the Romans in the best way possible. Before they were massacred, they left things behind in caves here in Qumran," he said. Thanks afraidfortherepublic! Ping to the digest list as well.
As you said, Indiana Jones already found the Ark, so for a movie plot all that gold would be motivation #2.
