Christ founded the Catholic Church on the Apostles before the Ascension, but you knew that, right?
LOL! The Apostles founded the Catholic Church per the instructions of Jesus Christ.
The pictures show folks bowing down and lifting hands up to the statues of Mary. Enough said.

Pardon me jumping into this exchange for a moment, but I'm always curious about the above defense used to argue against the principal of sola scriptura. I notice, for instance, that Paul didn't continue his thought with "... and feel free to make up more going forward."
We ask Mary to pray for us. Very simple.
Why not ask Jesus directly?
You need to remember in Jesus’ ministry..he was a Jewish “Protestant”..and was crucify for it
“True...but you don’t know or have the truth, so you’re still stuck.”
Actually I know and have the truth. Thanks.
“Your denial is sad.”
It doesn’t matter if your sad or not. What I said was true.
“You deny everything responders are saying, but provide no proof.”
I deny all falsehood. I need provide no proof of Protestant doctrine’s falsity for that falsity to remain false. It is what it is and won’t change.
“That is the way of the Catholic Church - complete mind control, not the freedom of Gods Truth.”
There’s no mind control here buddy. I CHOSE the Catholic faith. I am free in Christ and His Church.
“Youre an addict who only wants his drug.”
That’s hilarious coming from a guy who seems to obsessively posts on one topic. Wouldn’t that be an addictive behavior, bud?
“You have no idea what is in my heart and what kind of relationship I have with the Lord Jesus Christ, yet you feel you can simply deny all by blathering that without your corrupt, heretical church, Im lost.”
I never did that. See, this is one of the saddest things about talking to anti-Catholics. They just make things up out of thin air. I never said you were lost. I’ll make you a bet: Find anywhere in this thread where I said that you were lost without any church let alone my supposed “your corrupt, heretical church”. Do it. I defy you. If you can’t do it - and you can’t because I know exactly what I did and did not post in this thread, you should apologize or leave the thread.
“What utter foolishness!”
We’ll see what “utter foolishness” this is what you cannot back up your claim about what I (did not!) post.
“I notice, for instance, that Paul didn’t continue his thought with “... and feel free to make up more going forward.”
Why would he? Your comment is based on a premise is it not? Go ahead and state the premise. Your premise can only be the following: “Gee, we all know Catholics make stuff up so when they cite St. Paul on tradition they must assume he meant that it was okay to make up stuff and pass it off as sacred tradition.” Isn’t that what your suggesting?
The Church at Pentecost was led by the apostles speaking in tongues.
Over 3,000 were baptized that day.
Christ left his Church in the good hands of the Apostles.

Agreed. Then a couple hundred years later; Catholicism entered the arena and fulfilled the prophecy of Rev. Chapter 17.
We really need to get on the same page on this because until we do we look sillier than necessary. It is true that many prayers to Mary and the saints in Heaven are asking for them to pray for us. But we must acknowledge there's more to it than that.
Surely you're familiar with the Memorare and the Salve Regina at least, there's more there than just asking Mary to pray for us.
“Then a couple hundred years later; Catholicism entered the arena and fulfilled the prophecy of Rev. Chapter 17.”
Can you give us an exact year and place where you believe that happened?
Nothing in the Bible says we should pray to the Saints or Mary.
Protestant heresies or anti-Catholicism.
Well, I would say “thank you” for your kind gesture and attempt at out reach! We all know most of the differences that separate us and that is likely to remain unchanged till the Lord returns. However, as we see the world become increasingly evil, I do see a time when there will, and probably will need to be, more cooperation between us - and yes, less hatred and stone throwing. I think both groups could move in that direction. Doctrinally, I don’t think we will ever see eye to eye. Doctrine is important - who’s willing to compromise(?) - most likely no one. So let’s not spend our energy there. On big picture social issues, like abortion, gay marriage and other moral issues that are destroying our culture, we should be able to speak loudly with one voice. We could hold our elected officials to a much higher standard. We should also be able to speak as one voice to the benefits of following Christ and being conformed to his likeness in word and dead. Being surrendered to his will and the repudiation of the self-life. There is bad fruit on both sides of the isle. So, perhaps we could do a better job as well at some house cleaning. Starting with our own heart and life. Ok, let the flaming begin.
Or to put as a simpler reminder
To Catholic: Our Savior was a “heretic” worthy of death (per the “church” of his day)
To Protestants: Not all heretics are Saviors (our path is narrow via the true “One” and his grace)
Coulda fooled me.
