"...they will make sure that muzzies will never settle in the peninsula.'

Back in the 90s there was already a big-azz mosque on top of Hooker Hill in Itaewon...

And if that's not enough, the infection has already spread to the ROK Army...

(cont’d) should turn out that I made a mistake, or seemed to, I trust that it was part of the Lord’s plan and He had purposes for it. One example from the Bible would be Peter’s failure in denying Christ. It revealed things in Him and the Lord used it in many ways. It still teaches and shows us things today. Peter most likely didn’t ask the Lord what to do while he was being tested, though. He thought he could handle pressure alone. The reason to ask the Lord what to do, though, is that’s really He wants. We’ve done His will if we do that. And it’s the best thing we can do because only He knows the future and all we don’t know. If we aske Him, we can have peace that He’s led us. It may be how He led the Israelites to be cornered by the Red Sea, but we can trust that if we keep faith while we go through troubles after having asked for His guidance, He will bring us through it just as He promised to safely lead the blind.

I’m sure the moslems will be careful to clarify our denominational backgrounds before deciding whether to slit our throats from left to right or right to left.

Protestants made up about 18.3% of South Koreans in 2005 and Catholics about 10.8%, according to the most recent census data. Just over 46% said they didn’t have a religion and close to 23% identified themselves as Buddhists

Sounds like they could keep themselves busy being a light to the unchurched. There seem to be plenty.

Or they could throw a stinkbomb at their catholic brothers and sisters on the day they welcome the pope into their country. I guess different people have different priorities.

It’s path of least resistance Christianity. Go where you know you have you’ll be talking to someone who already believes Jesus Christ is their Savior and convince them they could be making their own rules rather than worrying about living in a way that reflects Christ.

... especially in a nation like South Korea, where Christianity is on the rise, but still far smaller in numbers than the irreligious and Eastern religions.

Presbyterian, Methodist and Baptist. Based on their presence on FR, I know which one of those groups I suspect is causing the trouble.

Okay, when Protestants throw stink bombs we'll just be very quiet and pretend not to notice. Protestants have a right to throw stink bombs but it would be terribly rude of us Catholics to kick them back, or even notice them I suppose.

Do you deny that F15Eagle's comment is accurate? He said:

Just watch who keeps posting these kinds of threads, over and over, month-in, month-out.

What you call "stink bombs" are very rarely of the caliber posted about Protestants and the supposed superiority of Roman Catholicism by RCs. Even this thread wasn't posted by a Protestant! I think your scoldings would be better served being sent to those in "your" camp who treat Free Republic as their very own propaganda arm and LOOK for chances to provoke arguments.

Discussing theological differences, on the other hand, are hardly throwing stink bombs! When some FRoman Catholics put on their PPPP face at the slightest hint of dispute, it becomes comical.

Having honest philosophical or theological differences with the Catholic Church does not necessarily make one “anti-Catholic”.

Yeah, sure you did. There is no difference between a Christian and Catholic, because Catholics are Christians. The original Christians.

The original Christians were the disciples and those who learned from Jesus' ministry. Peter never went to Rome, Paul was the one sent to the gentiles, to Rome. Paul went to Rome, spread the church there, which was then corrupted with Babylonian influences by the followers of Simon Magus, who had earlier in Samaria tried to buy an apostleship from Peter, was rejected by Peter, then posed as Peter in Rome. So he got his apostleship after all, but fake.

A renowned Catholic archaeologist, Milik, confirmed Peter's ossuary as being in Jerusalem. Peter would never have been buried in a pagan cemetary where Simon Magus was buried, which is what Vatican Hill was then.

I think when God looks down on earth he would be vary angry at the way Catholics and Protestants fight. They’ve both done there share of bad things on this earth that I’m sure God does not like. (I’m not Catholic by the way but was baptized in the Grace Brethren Church}. They should be spreading the gospel rather than hating or fighting.

My question is this - how can Protestants get so riled up about Catholic doctrine when there are thousands of different denominations who are under the umbrella of the word ‘Protestant’. Do they not care about the doctrinal differences among themselves being much more egregious? Jut my humble opinion.

Because much of the bible is a warning about the gall of bitterness and mystery of iniquity of the Catholic Church. It's what the founding fathers spoke of, when they spoke of the papists, and the papist's opposition to liberty.

Protestants have more in common with muslims than they do Catholics.

Peter did indeed go to Rome. Where, out of curiosity, did you read this narrative of Simon Magus impersonating Peter?
