Assisted by US airstrikes, forces of the autonomous Iraqi region of Kurdistan have retaken the historically Christian towns of Tel Isqof (or Telskuf) and Batnaya from the Sunni jihadist forces.
Christian residents who returned to Tel Isqof were shocked by the level of destruction committed by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, the Assyrian International News Agency reported. They restored crosses to their churches before beginning the task of cleaning up their town.

Good news, ping! What a beautiful sight.
Yes, thank you for sharing. A tidbit of hope.
Oh, that right, Holder can send guns to cartels in Mexico and ISIS in Syria, but screw the Kurds because we have always screwed over the kurds... We scrwewed over the kurds after the first Gulf war, and the second Gulf war and continue to do so for some stuipid reason...
Makes me sick we are not helping the Kurds out more when they seem to be Good Guys, and if not good Guuys a hell of a LOT better than other people inthe region besides Israel...
Saw the pics of the aftermath of the ISIS’ looting of homes in the villages.
These beasts are beyond “terrorists.” “Islamodemons” would be a more fitting term.
Damn, I hate those f***ing creatures. Every single jihadi deserves extermination.
Good. now bomb “IS” into molten desert sand.
They began with their top priority, restore the cross to the Church and bring God back into their midst. Now they can start the process of rebuilding. Most important of all, is that their lives are intact. They have stared evil in the face and survived. May God bless and reward their efforts!
