This is why St. Bernard, and the Church throughout the ages echoing his words, refers to Mary as the “cause of our salvation”

Deu 31:20 For when I have brought them into the land flowing with milk and honey, which I swore to give to their fathers, and they have eaten and are full and grown fat, they will turn to other gods and serve them, and despise me and break my covenant.

Deu 31:21 And when many evils and troubles have come upon them, this song shall confront them as a witness (for it will live unforgotten in the mouths of their offspring). For I know what they are inclined to do even today, before I have brought them into the land that I swore to give."

but through the free gift of a woman’s fiat

The Angel told Mary she would bear a son before her acceptance of it "you will conceive in your womb and bear a son". It was a command of God to fulfill 'Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel'.

So she was not asked nor had the power to refuse, but said "Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it done to me according to thy word" submitting to the will of God.

No one can stop God's Sovereign will by fiat.

As for 'Queen' have you not seen where she said in the Magnificat 'God my Savior' admitting her fallen humanity, believing the Savior (the Lord Jesus Christ) to forgive her sins like the rest of us?

“But the Jerusalem above is free; she is our mother.”—Galatians 4:20

Believers are children of the free woman, Sarah! Not once in Scripture is Mary thus mentioned (blessed as she was). Why does Scripture matter and not Catholic tradition? Because, in the same letter, Scripture is personified by Paul as having “preached the gospel in advance to Abraham” and also as having “imprisoned everything under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe”.

Scripture is intimately tied to the One who speaks it. No wonder our evil foe, Satan, perversely appealed to Psalm 91 as a pretext for his temptation of Jesus. Note that the verse just after the one he lifted says “You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.”

Our foe simply distorts the truth! Scripture gives no warrant for sentimental nonsense. The Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother!

Mary Queen of Heaven- the Bible Tells Me So

The Queen of Heaven was a goddess in pagan times, but when we call Mary the Queen of Heaven it has nothing to do with pagan worship. We don’t worship Mary. Check out this post to correct that mis understanding.

Instead Mary as the Queen of Heaven is tied in with the Old Testament concept of the royal household. Because the King had many wives it was impossible for one to be Queen. Therefore the King’s mother served in the role. The Queen Mother sat on a throne at the King’s right hand and helped rule the kingdom. Access to the King would often be through the Queen Mother and she would ask favors from the King for those who asked her. You can see an example of this in I Kings 2: 17-25 where Solomon is on the throne next to his mother Bathsheba.

Solomon is David’s son so, this establishes the analogy of the Queen Mother in the Kingdom of David. We know that Jesus is the Son of David and that he inherits the throne of his father David. His role as such is announced by the angel Gabriel from God Most High. So in Luke chapter one:

You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.

So the “Kingdom of God” or “Kingdom of Heaven” which Jesus talks about all the time is also the Kingdom of his father David. Jesus is the King who’s kingdom will never end, and who is his mother? Mary. If he is the King of the Kingdom of David–the Kingdom of God–also called the Kingdom of Heaven, then she is the Queen Mother of the Kingdom of God, the Kingdom of David, the Kingdom of Heaven, and thus the Queen of Heaven–furthermore, if her son the King’s kingdom will never end we must conclude that her reign as Queen Mother at his right hand will also never end. It is an eternal kingdom.

It’s confirmed in Revelation 12 where “a great sign is given” — we see the woman who is the mother of the child who will rule the whole earth with a rod of iron. She is crowned with stars and with the moon under her feet.

A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. She was pregnant…She gave birth to a son, a male child, who “will rule all the nations with an iron scepter.”

Who else could this be–clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head–than the Queen of Heaven? That she is the Virgin Mary is clear as she gives birth to the male child who is the King of Kings. Another take on this here.

So Catholics venerate Mary as the Queen of Heaven. It’s there in the Bible…if you have eyes to see.

This does not address her saying “God my Savior” admitting her fallen state and need for His atonement as do the rest of us.

If the mother is not the church but is a sinner like the rest of mankind, that is not good.

Mary, one of the gang - the Bible tells me so

Mattehew 12:48 “Behold, Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside seeking to speak to You.” 48 But Jesus answered the one who was telling Him and said, “Who is My mother and who are My brothers?” 49 And stretching out His hand toward His disciples, He said, “Behold My mother and My brothers!…

From the moment of her fiat to the Angel, Mary was inseparably bound up in God’s work of Redemption, both in its accomplishment and in the distribution of its merits. And she exercises these roles as the New Eve, acting as both Spouse of the New Adam (Jesus Christ) and His Mother. Her motherhood extends over both His earthly life, and in His Mystical Life prolonged in the Church – as Jesus made crystal clear on Calvary.

This could only come from Satan...

No such thing took place at Calvary...Mother of God??? What a joke...

Mar 3:32 And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee.
Mar 3:33 And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren?
Mar 3:34 And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!

Catholic, do no be deceived...Follow Jesus, not some goddess called Mary...

When the Holy Spirit, her spouse, finds Mary in a soul, he hastens there and enters fully into it. He gives himself generously to that soul according to the place it has given to his spouse. One of the main reasons why the Holy Spirit does not work striking wonders in souls is that he fails to find in them a sufficiently close union with his faithful and inseparable spouse . . .

Another outrageous set of lies...God did not marry Mary...She is not his spouse...That is old Pagan worship...

And Mary indwells the souls of Catholics??? This comes from the father of lies...

If she was good enough for God she is good enough for me. Protestants don’t have enough sense to understand this.

“If she was good enough for God she is good enough for me.”

Sentimental hogwash. “Abraham believed God and it was counted to him as righteousness”. Mary was of the faith of Abraham, as are all of us believers, and it was counted to her/us as righteousness. None of this “good enough” business. Good enough for dead religion, maybe, but not the Living God from whom mountains skip like rams!

1. Whosoever shall faithfully ‘Serve Me’ (Mary - our lady) by the recitation of the Rosary shall receive signal graces.

Luke 4:8
8 And Yahshua answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship YHWH thy Elohim, and Him Only shalt thou Serve..

The first promise is a lie from this spirit. Or the spirit was misqouted...
Either way, on the witness of both the Living Word and His written Word, this spirit is lying.

Lies never lead to Truth, neighbor...

“This comes from the father of lies...”

Who can clothe himself as an angel of light. An audacious being, who dared to wrest Scripture before the Author of it (”For he will command his angels concerning you...”).

He dares no less with us, nor should we be “surprised”.

Let’s see what the Father of Protestantism thought about the Blessed Mother.

Luther praises Mary in many of his writings, even proclaiming his belief in her perpetual virginity and the Immaculate Conception. He also says that Mary is the spiritual mother of all Christians.
