“there’s very little you can dialog with someone about if they say “convert or die”.”

Exactly. It’s the ultimate truth about this situation. There were infants and children on the airplanes that were used as bombs on 9/11. There was a day care center in one of the World Trade Center buildings. A great many of those who died that day were parents, whose children will never see them again in this life. The same holds true of those lives lost since the beginning of our military ‘War on Terror’ response. We either fight these people, or we die. It’s too easy to rationalize against that reality when you aren’t right in the middle of it. Genocide was stopped because of WWII. War sucks. Sin sucks. But it is real and cannot be ignored.

Robert E. Lee and US Grant were both Christians and prayed to the same God. As long as Lee didn’t run out of men to fight the war God granted him victories. When there were no more men left to fight THE AGGRESSORS, God answered the AGGRESSORS prayers and the Great Unpleasantness ended.

JP2 was the vicar of Christ on earth. He had more knowledge of Christianity than most men will ever have.

That’s an awful big presumption that you know God intervened in the Civil War.

Also, while there was some resistance to Hitler, why in the heck did Catholic bishops in Germany implore catholics to take up arms FOR Germany, as Germany had already attacked one or more peaceful nations? Kind of goes against what Jesus said, “Pay Caesar’s things to Caesar, and God’s things to God”.

As to your JP2 comment, how could you endorse ANY christian leader who BOWS & KISSES the Koran (see JP2)? You can’t seriously believe Jesus would do likewise.
