The Encroaching Darkness - Dr. Chuck Missler

As the centroid of geopolitical power on the Planet Earth continues its shift westward, you can also see a cloud of spiritual darkness emerging on our eastern horizon.

We continue to see corruption everywhere: throughout the highest levels of government, in our entertainments, in our schools, and even in many of our churches. Many of those in the corridors of power should be incarcerated for treason—legislators that sign bills they haven’t read; executives who are allowed to ignore the laws; judges who reverse juries, amend laws, and indulge in social engineering; and, leaders who fail to exhibit the most elementary ethical conduct.

Dr. Missler lays out the potentially devastating issues we face today. He promises a strategy for dealing with these in upcoming issues of the KHouse Personal Update. When those articles appear, I will post links.

Bump to every FReeper. This is a must read column. Dr. Missler has laid it all out.

I do, however STRONGLY disagree with this one paragraph

Medicaid is 100% funded by the taxpayers. Social Security, on the other hand, is paid by the recipients. I know that SocSec is paid from the General Fund. But I didn't vote to take the Social Security Trust Fund and fold it into the General Fund.

I believe God's word for us today specifically about the increasing darkness around us is Isaiah 60:1-2.

"Arise, shine for your light is come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness covers the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord arises upon you and his glory is seen upon you."

I believe that God himself and the gospel of the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ must first "shine in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ" (2 Cor 4:6) and "with open face beholding the glory of the Lord, we are changed into the same image form glory to glory by the spirit of the Lord" (2 Cor 3:18).

As we grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ, beholding his glorious person, we are changed into His image. "Glory" (greek "Doxa") in the New Testament means "inherent, intrinsic worth evoking a good opinion which brings honor."

As we receive God's good opinion of us because of Jesus' perfect and completed sacrifice for us, we can arise and shine for others to see. The darker it gets the brighter we shine.

Don't focus on the darkness. Focus on Jesus and let his good opinion of you change you into His image for all to see. Jesus said we are the light of the world. That is our calling in these last days.

mine or the human race's?
I don't really believe that Armageddon is coming very soon but if it IS, I am as about as ready as I'll ever be.

From Wikipedia: Armageddon (from Ancient Greek: Ἁρμαγεδών Harmagedōn, Late Latin: Armagedōn) will be, according to the Book of Revelation, the site of gathering of armies for a battle during the end times, variously interpreted as either a literal or symbolic location. The term is also used in a generic sense to refer to any end of the world scenario.
These are fairly BROAD and general predictions, don't you think?

Well, there’s a fair amount of confusion even about certain terminology. I hope to write a book on this someday, something that is meant to help and encourage God’s people in these, what I call, the last days.

Yes, I believe the tribulation of Matthew 24 and Revelation beginning with Chapter 4 is coming soon. We don’t know the day or the hour, but I believe it will be sometime around or after 2050. Why do I think that?

Well, the increase of global spiritual and moral darkness and the astonishing coalescing of all things pertaining to the end of the world scenario. It’s like we’re living on borrowed time. But I think sometime after 2050 becasue I believe I will live here on earth to around 2050 and I don’t think I’m going to be part of the great “catching up” (1 Thess 4:17), even though I’d like to be. I believe God in his great mercy is bringing in a final in-gathering of souls through an enlightened and anointed Body of Christ before he finally says, “Enough.”

If you’re a believer, you and I will be watching these events unfold from Heaven’s Mezzanine intermittently while we celebrate the seven-year Marriage Supper of the Lamb. I can’t wait!!!

I would be 104 by then. I COULD live that long. SOME people do. I had some aunts who lived til their late 90's and that was a LONG time ago.

I wouldn't care how long I lived as long as I could still go to daily Mass. I WOULD have to get someone to drive me, though.

Let’s agree with and receive God’s promises that, “as your days, so shall your strength be” (Deut 33:25) and that “my eyes will not be dim nor my natural force abated” (Deut 34:7) until we go to Heaven.
