1 Psalm 45

For the director of music. To the tune of “Lilies.” Of the Sons of Korah. A maskil. A wedding song.

1 My heart is stirred by a noble theme
    as I recite my verses for the king;
    my tongue is the pen of a skillful writer.
2 You are the most excellent of men
    and your lips have been anointed with grace,
    since God has blessed you forever.
3 Gird your sword on your side, you mighty one;
    clothe yourself with splendor and majesty.
4 In your majesty ride forth victoriously
    in the cause of truth, humility and justice;
    let your right hand achieve awesome deeds.
5 Let your sharp arrows pierce the hearts of the king’s enemies;
    let the nations fall beneath your feet.
6 Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever;
    a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.
7 You love righteousness and hate wickedness;
    therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions
    by anointing you with the oil of joy.
8 All your robes are fragrant with myrrh and aloes and cassia;
    from palaces adorned with ivory
    the music of the strings makes you glad.
9 Daughters of kings are among your honored women;
    at your right hand is the royal bride in gold of Ophir.
10 Listen, daughter, and pay careful attention:
    Forget your people and your father’s house.
11 Let the king be enthralled by your beauty;
    honor him, for he is your lord.
12 The city of Tyre will come with a gift

    people of wealth will seek your favor.
13 All glorious is the princess within her chamber;
    her gown is interwoven with gold.
14 In embroidered garments she is led to the king;
    her virgin companions follow her—

    those brought to be with her.
15 Led in with joy and gladness,
    they enter the palace of the king.
16 Your sons will take the place of your fathers;
    you will make them princes throughout the land.
17 I will perpetuate your memory through all generations;
    therefore the nations will praise you for ever and ever.

Our Father Who Art in Heaven,
Hallowed Be Your Name!
For You Alone are Worthy of Praise and Worship,
For You Are Glorious in Majesty!
You Alone Are The One True God.
Perfect in All Your Ways
We Pray That You Will keep us From Temptation.
And Let us look to you with loving eyes,
Like a Bride adorned for her Bridegroom.

We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem,
According to Your Will and Promise.
We Pray For the People and Leaders of Israel,
that They Will Look to You for the Protection
and Prosperity of their Nation.
We Also Pray For Revival in our own Beloved USA.


We Pray For The Swift and Sure Coming of Messiah,

To Establish His Kingdom,
and Make All Things Right.

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Today's Bible profession is the last in this series. Tomorrow we will begin a new theme.

Nestled in the Book of Psalms is this Wedding Song. It opens with the Writer introducing the Song, and expressing his joy over the privilege of presenting this song to the King on his Wedding Day. At first, he praises the King for his valor, then compliments the Bride on her Beauty and Virtue.

Then, however, the Song becomes a Hymn of Praise to the God of Israel, and even contains a Prophetic, Messianic Theme.

Just because a Song is written specifically for a "Special Occasion", it does not cease to be a vehicle for Praise and Worship. As I write songs for my own congregation, I pray that the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart will ALWAYS give Glory To God, whatever the occasion.

Come and pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

PRAYERS ASCENDING ON HIGH FOR
THE PEACE OF JERUSALEM!
And for the Preservation of the Valiant
Israeli Nation!

Y heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer. Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.

The members of the oldest of our Christian Communities, some of which date from the days of the Apostles, suffer under cruel, merciless and unrelenting persecution. They are Orthodox and Catholic, Protestant and Evangelical, Coptic, Pentecostal, and Baptist. To the persecutors, we are all "Nazarenes."

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far;
The LORD hath called me from the womb;
From the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name.
