My better half (who was a brand new Catholic) and I (cradle Catholic) were invited over to a friend's house for dinner. Our friends were a couple where one was a newbie Baptist and the other was a lifelong Baptist.
After dinner, they asked us if we wanted to play Bible Trivia. We said yeah. We started to play and we began to answer some really tough questions. Pretty soon it was obvious that we were winning hands down.
All of us were surprised that the Catholics won.
I may not be able to tell you what Chapter and Verse where something may be, but can tell you its meaning.

I understand that as well. I don't find memorizing chapter and verse to be helpful. I do find the concepts and how they are interwoven into our lives to be second nature.
Even when we were little they were teaching us the Bible, we just didn't memorize it.
I have taught Bible School and Religious Ed and have done Confirmation prep and RCIA. The Bible is always present, we just don't sit there and memorize it. It's so easy to find a verse if you really need it for something.

Did the Baptists drink some wine with dinner? If they did it was not a fair competition:) LOL.
But my most sincere congratulations on winning the challenge!
Did the Baptists lose points on all the Biblical references to drinking wine?:) Oh I wish I was there:)
