3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Which scriptures is Paul talking about?

12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

The only scriptures that existed at his time: The Tanakh.

Acts 28:

[22] But we desire to hear of thee what thou thinkest: for as concerning this sect, we know that every where it is spoken against.
[23] And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.

That's all there was at Paul's time. .

The OT. The ones Jesus kept quoting about Himself as proof of the prophecy about Himself that He was fulfilling.

THAT was their Scripture.

Paul was of course referring to the Hebrew scriptures, TaNaKh.

As Peter pointed to various passages in Isaiah, most notably chapter 55.

Jesus to Nicodemus on born again found in Ezekiel 36 and Psalm 51.

The apostles preached right out of the OT and witnessed words and works of Christ.

There are many, many OT Scriptures that pertain to Christ in His first appearance.  See Isaiah 53 for a great example.  Or Psalm 22.  But despite all these, not even the disciples grasped their significance without the revelatory impact of Jesus' teaching:
Luke 24:25-27  Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:  (26)  Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?  (27)  And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
So the Scriptures do testify of Christ, and yet Paul as an apostle needed a crash course by direct revelation in all that the Scriptures say concerning Christ.  Even today, the Scriptures are a closed book to those operating in the flesh, and not the Spirit.

Peace,

SR
