Maybe you should put your full faith and trust in Christ who takes away that guilt of condemnation.

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

I pray that you will one day understand the freedom which is in Christ alone. "if the son sets you free you are free indeed". Christ would have you clothed in His righteousness rather then try to attain righteousness on your own.

If I confess to a murder and turn myself in as instructed by the priest, I do hope I will reflect on my crime and suffer a few pangs of guilt.
