How else can Catholics come up with any of their beliefs and defences of Rome? As always we find they have added something, subtracted something or in some other way changed what scripture says.
Rome during Luther’s time is not the same church that existed during the Council of Orange. It went from being saturated with the Gospel to a corrupt tyrannical organization that extorted money form her subjects usinf fear.
And Rome today is no better than any of the liberal denominations we see in the US.
Thank you a well reasoned and well written refutation of the article. While my comments were a well-intended defense of Luther, yours cut nicely to the heart of the arguments Mr. Staples makes. Thank you for the ammunition. I often find myself in seeking answers to the comments made by some of my Catholic brethren. Might you suggest some additional tools with which I can better prepare myself?
