NO!
Race is immutable.
Behavior is not.
If people can decide they are “locked inside the wrong body, DNA doesn’t matter, and are really something else, does that mean a person can’t say they are “locked in a body of the wrong race” and decide they are something else?
I must admit I had hopes for Powers but over the past 6—12 months she seems to have undergone a sharp regression.
How has skin color ever infected others with AIDS?
I would like to see Kirsten Powers or anyone else argue that non-discrimination law forces a gay baker to create a cake that says, “God hates fags!” on it.
If not, its only fair that no one—even religious people—be forced to violate their consciences.

Sick and immoral behavior.
sexual ‘orientation’ is behavior.
race is an unchangeable fact of biology.
we can criticize behaviors all day long
Life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, and the right to take away your rights. Yep that’s in there somewhere. I’m sure of it...
Religeous Liberty is #1 in the Ammendments section. I see nothing about homo’s not being offended in there at all.
It isn’t ‘sexual orientation” it’s ‘sexual DEVIANCE’. A perverted impulse is not the basis for humanity and the rights that flow from humanity. ALL humans have THE SAME rights.
Race isn’t even analogous to race these days.
...and “abomination” means “abhorrent, disgusting, stinking.”
In reality, their beef is with God, and their objections will only result in worse punishment. God has already judged homosexuality, and all unrepentant homosexuals will go to hell and the lake of fire. They’re insanely trading a few years of righteousness here on earth for an eternity of absolutely merciless torture, and it’s God who’ll do the torturing.

Yes. THAT ONE.
Powers briefly dated former Congressman Anthony Weiner in 2002, and remained his close friend after their romantic relationship ended.
After initially defending him when the story of Weiner’s sexting scandal surfaced in May 2011, Powers later condemned his conduct and called for his resignation from Congress.
The issue is even more complicated. States laws forbade racial intermarriage not primarily because it was thought immoral, but because such marriages produced children. The question would then be, which would the child be, black or white? There is a long literature about the difficulties of breeds The history of our President seems to be typical of men with a divided consciousness. Many quite kind people didnt like the idea of a third race of people who did not belong to the White race or to the Black one and would live out their lives with a special kind of nervous tension. A race of neurotics, so to speak. Sort of like bisexuals.
“This weekend Kirsten Powers and Jonathan Merritt stirred up controversy by writing in the Daily Beast that Christians have no biblical basis for claiming that religious belief should allow them to refuse to serve a same-sex ‘wedding’”?
What are Miss Powers’ and Mr. Merritt’s qualifications for saying whether anything is biblical or not. I don’t know anything about him but she hasn’t claimed to be a Christian for very long. How many times has she read the entire Bible cover to cover and become an expert on such a topic?
I think we as Christians need to stop fawning over these celebrity supposed conversions. If she really did convert, I think it would’ve been better if she spent more time in God’s word and less time pontificating on issues she clearly does not have the ability to understand.
