No one wants to believe they are a monster capable of killing an innocent baby. So they rationalize it away as not a REAL baby.
This is the reason they fight so hard for abortion. To lose the argument would be to admit they are a butcher.
Ms. Brooks weeps for junior high students whose “only meals come from school?” What a crock.
Fact is, a lot of the yuts are over-fed at the schools, on your dime. When I was a teacher, one of the schools where I worked at was in a very poor county in Mississippi (yes, some would call that an oxymoron). Every single kid in the school was eligible for the school lunch program.
Here was the daily “feeding schedule.” Class was suspended at 8:45 for breakfast. Lunch was served from 11-12:00, and there was an after-school nutrition program that began after the final bell. For students in the summer program, there was breakfast and lunch as well.
And did I mention that virtually all of their families qualified for SNAP, at the maximum rate, and there were plenty of WIC recipients, too? The vast majority of the kids always had money for the vending machines, too.
No wonder that many of these “starving” kids that Ms. Brooks weeps for were already obese—in the seventh grade.

If you accept abortion, you have no conscience. You don’t need a church to tell you it’s wrong. It simply can’t be right.
She’s mad about one teacher and 23 students who can’t read? Why would that be, since we had sometimes over 35-40 students in one room and we all knew how to read. Something is different, and it appears to start in the home, then in the quality of some teachers for whom standards were lowered in some states. This is not a slam at teachers, either. They have their hands full given that kids pretty much can do what they want at many schools.
