God isn’t being sold short. Who do you think directed the flames away from the statue area? God, of course.
Being on record in the bible would do that for her, wouldn’t you think?
She doesn’t need Special Powers for that purpose.
Or God allowed a power to do it.
I think of the biblical scene where God was not in the fire but in the still small voice.
Yes, now she is called blessed. That came true
Sadly, you are correct. Catholics call her blessed.
But did you not read? It's not an adjective or a title.
She is counted as blessed....not called blessed.
Cognate: 3106 makarízō pronounce blessed, as the result of enjoying the benefits (privileges) that (literally) extend from God. HELPS-Word-studies
Many of your statements are false in my opinion.
I never said she needs Special Powers.
She is the Blessed Mother. Scripture is correct about that.
Even if there is a completely natural explanation, there is still a message.
LOL! From a former religious. Move on folks.
Oops
Miracles do happen.
God is the one with the immortal power.
We ask Mary to pray for us, just as we ask others on earth to pray for us, and just as you might ask someone to pray for you.
Is Mary "dead"? I don't see how the saints in heaven can be dead. They are more alive than us.
And no, asking Mary to pray for us is not the same thing as conjuring spirits, like the witch of Endor.
The Body of Christ is One. The saints in heaven are united with the saints on earth, since we are all one Body.
And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of God's people.
The Body of Christ is one. We are part of His body, and so are the saints in heaven who are certainly closer to Christ than we are.
And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of God's people.
So “Mary” (let’s pretend it really is her) is now omniscient like God, when not even Satan has that power?
By what power does a dead human have ability to hear my thoughts and meditations?
Such as that of the Scribes of Mark 3:22?
I don't suppose it ever occurred to you and those like you who constantly harp on the lack of Biblical mention is precisely why so many miracles attend the Blessed Virgin Mary?
“We ask Mary to pray for us, just as we ask others on earth to pray for us, and just as you might ask someone to pray for you. Is Mary “dead”? I don’t see how the saints in heaven can be dead. That’s not how it’s done. That’s not how any of this is done.
And if he's not, how would you know?
When we die, only our body dies and turns to dust. Our soul meets Christ at the Particular Judgment at the moment of our death. Our soul is alive.
Christ will judge “Depart from me. I never knew you.” or “Come with me”.....either to Purgatory or straight to heaven.
Then, remember that everyone will see your judgment at the General Judgment at the end of time when the sheep are separated from the goats.
When there is nothing to burn, it doesn’t.
“Satan works wonders (sorry, I just had to say it). He can appear as an angel of light you know.”
I have hilarious pictures of “Mary” who appeared on the side of a glass building in St. Pete, FL, back in the late ‘90s. It was some kind of oil slick or something but people “saw” her. They were leaving flowers all around the building. So weird. It was a circus. There were signs on the streets, “Virgin Mary Parking”, and “NO Virgin Mary Parking”. Gotta find those pictures.
My cousin is a minister in Italy and said there’s so much Satanic stuff going on that people attribute to Mary or God or some saint. Statues crying tears — things like that.
