But all the Crucifixes depicting Christ were burned to ashes?

Satan works wonders (sorry, I just had to say it). He can appear as an angel of light you know.

Snopes debunks this, saying the statue is made of lead or something < /S >

And the Catholic bashers arrive just in time.

It appears this was a garden. No indication of a crucifix present in this garden.

The idea of a mediator between man and Christ kind of makes one want to go... ouch.

Mary, the mother of Jesus, who bore Jesus. This is just a statue and cheap flowers, but it appears God appreciated the kindness shown His selfless mother, idolotry fidolotry, it’s no different than a Jesus Praying painting.

I'm not a Catholic basher.
But do you have a problem with examining the Word of God?
In fact, Jim has said that Catholic bashing has no place at FR.
But are you so afraid of your faith that you can't put it under a white hot light.
Perhaps you should consider the Muslim faith as a fallback position
They believe as you do.

Do you ask friends and/or family to pray for you?

The fuss being made over it by people. Even an object with hallowed connotations can be taken in a wrong way, the bible has examples of that.

Glad to know that you can see into my heart and understand that I’m no different than a Muslim.

If they want to do that I certainly do not refuse.
But even more I treasure Jesus to whom I can pray personally and I experience the result of an ever greater love. Jesus gets sold way short by some people and it grieves the Lord.

Amen RedNeck...
Where did this mediatrix crap come from.
I'll suggest it came from the syncrestistic invitation to those who worshiped THE GODDESS.
"Hey goddess worshippers...come on over to Christianity...your goddess is in here. Her name is Mary."

Agreed. I feel the same when I pray to our Lord. But asking others to pray for us, including His blessed mother is also beneficial.

I don’t multiply conspiracy theories. I just lament the Lord being sold short.
