Our oldest son, age 15, has struggled with asthma most of his life. He has worked hard and turned his body into a muscled, athletic machine. Tonight, though, he had the most severe asthma attack of his life. My husband rushed him to the clinic where they quickly treated him. Doctor was considering admitting him to the hospital, but as he responded well sent him home with guidelines about going to the ER tonight.
Within an hour of returning home he needed a nebulizer treatment. If he gets another attack tonight, it's off to the ER.
We've dealt with bad attacks before but this one rattled us a bit. The doctor was very concerned. He said no practice for our son tomorrow as his lungs need to recover.
I hoped I followed the posting rules-never done it before and I'm not at my best right now. I just couldn't think of a better community of prayer warriors to turn to right now.
Please pray that the prednisone does its job and reduces the inflammation and that he is able to breathe well tonight. Thanks.
God bless!

Prayers up for your son and the family.
Knew a boy in wrestling that had the same problem 30 years ago. Where are researchers on this for goodness sake?
Of course I will pray for your boy. He sounds like a real fighter.
Lord Jesus our great physician, please heal this boy. Nothing is too difficult for you!
Praying for you and your son.
God bless you and yours! One tough night.
Prayers will be said. I know it’s rough, my ex gf had it real bad. It hurt me to watch her and take her to ER’s.
Prayers up.
Dear Lord Jesus, please heal this boy!
Amen!
When things settle down get him tested for alpha 1-antitrypsin deficiency.
Prayers.
Blessed Jesus, please bless and heal CJ, bring the entire family peace and comfort this night and always.
You’re in my prayers.
Praying for your son!

I know it’s difficult, but try to get some rest, sweety.
Requested healing from Jehovah God.
May your son and family be Blessed.
The prednisone should do it’s job- plus you have the nebulizer at home- just have it prepped and ready to go- Don’t know if you have animals,, but if so- then they need to go as animal dander is a huge trigger for asthma
Is it possible your son may have a cold? Sometimes colds/flu/bronchitis really wreak havoc on asthma- Allergies can affect it too-
Being 15 he’s probably wanting to be quite active- Not good for someone with ‘exercise induced asthma’ if that’s what he has- and don’t know if he’s taking his meds regularly? That is important, even when he’s feeling ok- I know I hated taking the meds- and didn’t- and suffered needlessly for it
