I wondered too then I found this:

“Corner tables are also termed as the occasional tables. They add beauty to the buildings wherever it is used. There are different types of these tables available in the markets. One is lamp table, usually comes with the height of the bed where the night lamp is kept on it. Placing them near your sofa, chair, reading table, bed can help you to easily switch it on and off. Another type, Sofa tables which are kept beside the sofas in the receiving areas. Coffee tables are also a type of occasional table which is usually placed in front of the sofa at your knee level. This is used to keep the coffee cups after having them or while serving them.”

http://occasionaltables.net

So they appear to be tables used “on an occasion” or “occasionally”, or even for a particular “occasion” (or purpose), hence the name.

The struggle for correct grammar is always a losing cause. If Cicero could have come back to Rome 1000 years later he would have been appalled at the poor Latin he would have heard.

I was shocked yesterday to hear Steve Doocy split an infinitive. I had thought more highly of him.

Love your tagline!

They say it's a living, we all gotta eat.

Have you heard the "beautiful jam ?" It was only played once, almost like a prayer without words, wedged between a confessional Wharf Rat and sublime Dark Star.

Who is Jerry? And is the line quoted an allusion in a song to C.S. Lewis’ Great Divorce? That was the only thing that came to mind when I went back and read the tag-line.

Jerry is Jerry Garcia, and the tag line is from The Other One.

All the best, and Merry Christmas!

I have a Millenia (broke down, of course) in the yard.
If I buy another one for parts, I’ll have two Milleniums................

I think the archaeologists might have it a bit wrong. I think this article is ‘The Judge’s Seat’ that is used in the olden days for someone to sit upon when hearing cases to be judged. The term Judge’s Seat was used by both Jews, Greeks and Romans..........................
