FORT WORTH, Texas -- The highest criminal court in Texas has ruled that it is permissible for police to form human barricades to physically block dissenters from engaging with attendees of "gay pride" events in situations where there is a possibility that the hearers might become violent.

On Wednesday, Texas Court of Criminal Appeals reinstated the conviction of a preacher and a member of his congregation who had been previously found not guilty of "interfering with public duties" for crossing a barricade that was meant to separate them from attendees of a homosexual festival in Fort Worth.

"We agree with the sentiment expressed by the trial court judge -- that [the men] literally crossed the line, from engaging in purportedly protected speech to physically interfering with a lawful police order," a divided court ruled.

...physically block dissenters from engaging with attendees of "gay pride" events in situations where there is a possibility that the hearers might become violent.

So, if the person who is being dissented against might get violent, you can punish the dissenter.

How unamerican.

Yep, standing up for Gay Parade "strutters" and abortionists, against those who would protest anti-morality to "save" the moral degenerates!!!

What happened to the First Amendment - oh, forgot, it only applies to flag burners, BLM screamers, anti-military, and all other anti-American "protesting."

Will they do the same to WestBoro baptist that picket soldier funerals? Will they do the same to faggots protesting in front of churches?

This is a violation of free speech, and the agency should be sued, and shut down. Anyone involved should be ran out of a town on a rail with traitor tattooed on their forward - OR WORSE.

No one is preventing homosexuals and pro-choice advocates from destroying property like displays meant to bring attention to the number of aborted children.

No one is preventing liberals from assaulting conservatives, or blacks from assaulting whites.

This is part and parcel of the liberals acting like conservatives are the fascists, when it is liberals who want to constrain freedom of speech, religion, association, the press, etc.

If he was found not guilty, how could a court reinstate a conviction?

It is an example of bad reporting. A trial court found them guilty, an appellate court threw the conviction out, and the Supreme Court reinstated it.

If cops have nothing better to do then act as a ‘human barricade” to protect gay hot house flowers from hearing or seeing protesters, who cares. What useless idiots.

Okay, the protesters should do like the left and go to Mommy Federal Courts to impose their will. At least these Christians have a constitutional basis for their case.

"...where there is a possibility that the hearers might become violent."

Yep, that characterizes the sodomite crowd alright. And change "possibility" to "probability." These are NOT gentle people. Domestic violence is through the roof in this "community."
