NEW YORK (ChurchMilitant.com) - The bishops of New York have no plans to oppose state measures against gay conversion therapy.
Governor Andrew Cuomo announced in a February 6 press release he would ban counseling for minors to help get rid of unwanted same-sex desires, which he called "a hateful and fundamentally flawed practice."
"New York has been at the forefront of acceptance and equality for the LGBT community for decades," Cuomo said, "and today we are continuing that legacy and leading by example."
"We will not allow the misguided and the intolerant to punish LGBT young people for simply being who they are," he insisted.
In addition to banning gay reparative therapy for those under 18, the new regulations will bar healthcare coverage for any form of gay conversion therapy.
The president of the American Psychiatric Association is praising the measures. "Governor Cuomo and the State of New York are commended for taking a principled and scientific stand," said President Renee Binder.

Why have Pelosi, Cuomo etc not been excommunicated
So if you are a homosexual man, you can now legally marry another homosexual man and adopt a little boy.
You can pump this boy full of hormones and have his penis cut off and insurance and the law will back them.
If you are a heterosexual man, you marry a woman and have a little boy that grows up with some confusion...
no medical help is available. No insurance will cover talking things out with a counselor to remain heterosexual...and now the law will make it illegal to even try.

You speak very loosely about 1.22 billion Catholics instructed by Divine and Natural Law summarized in a perfectly clear and understandable Catechism (LINK) which makes our moral theology quite clear via the laws by which God enlightens our consciences and guides our lives.

I always figured that if I left the Catholic Church then those miserable leftists Catholics win.
If this can be banned then so can/must attempts at ‘curing’ sex addiction.
