92. Wow. RIP Sister.
EWTN is a favorite show of mine and I watch it weekly. It is an excellent network for Catholics.
What a glorious procession those angels of God were as they carried her into the Almighty Arms of her Blessed Lord. May the God of Peace give her everlasting rest. No doubt MOther heard those wonderful words, “Well done, thy good and faithful servant”...
Because she’s a special person.
imagine the wonderful chats between her and bishop sheen !!!!!
From my Catholic education, I remember the Sisters. Sometimes stern when situation called for it, often fun-loving and joyful. They really wanted us all to become saints. I remember one Sister literally crying with disappointment when she heard "her boys" use foul words out on the playground - when we thought no one else was around...
Mother was never afraid to take on bishops and other leaders who overstepped their bounds. Mother, please pray for these bishops we have today who seem to be overstepping their bounds on a daily basis, both the bishops here in America (in the USCCB), and bishops all around the world, that they may all see the light, and do what's right.
She played a tremendous part in keeping the Catholic Church from going off the rails during these difficult times.
God bless her. I certainly expect that she will be confirmed a saint.
May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace.
Darn. God bless you, Sister! Rest in peace. You did good.
She was hysterically funny!!!! God Bless her.
You have the soul of a Christian, you just haven’t taken the big step.
DUDEE today???
This first time I been on line today
Angelica, ora pro nobis.

Just before the first satellite dish arrived, Sr. Regina had a vision in which she saw a black sky, a white satellite dish, and a flame emerging from the center. She heard God say, "This is my network, and it will glorify my Son." After the dish arrived a few weeks later, a photograph taken while it was installed reproduced Sr. Regina's vision: a black sky, the white dish, and a red flame emerging from its center. Professional photographs could not account for the red flame. Mother Angelica called it a miracle.
I love this story as well as the one about the delivery of the dish. The driver would not unload it until she handed him a check for $350,000. She excused herself to go into the chapel to pray. She did not have the money and asked our Lord for help. She then made her way back towards the truck to send the driver away. On the way, Bill Stetelmeier (sp?) stopped her to say he had a caller on the phone. He told her he was calling from his yacht in the middle of the Atlantic. He had read some tracts she had written years earlier and wanted to make a donation of $350,000.
How many souls found their way back to God through this network! Insofar as her run ins with the hierarchy, I posted the following article back in 2006, which touches on some of those encounters.
THE ODYSSEY OF MOTHER ANGELICA
Santa Subito!
AMEN
God bless Mother Angelica! What a champion of the faith. Truly she epitomized what the Church’s mission is all about. She is now with her true love, Jesus Christ. I know she will pray in heaven for all of us. Santa subita!
What a wonderful person she was. She is now home with her King. Rest in peace Mother. Your toil is over and it will reap well for years to come.
EWTN’s Mother Angelica and Father Groeschel - two of the best....
Ditto, right down to the parking lot.
"Im sure there was one great party in Heaven today when she arrived!"
A Family reunion!
Heaven has gained a tremendous saintly soul, RIP Mother RIP. She and EWTN did as much to get me back into the Church as anyone.
