Heavenly Father, we come to You in Christ’s Name, and through Him we are heard.

Lord, we pray that You will be kind to the members of our armed forces, and that You will tend them in quiet pastures and beside still waters.

Sovereign LORD, as a shepherd looks after his scattered flock when he is with them, so You look after Your sheep. You rescue them from all the places where they were scattered on a day of clouds and darkness; You gather them from the nations, and You will bring all of us into our own land, the home You have made for us. O Lord, You tend us in a good pasture on the mountain heights, and through ravines and valleys, and You give us rest. You search for the lost and bring back the strays; You bind up the injured and strengthen the weak, and You shepherd Your flock with justice. We praise You, the Shepherd of our souls through the long way home, in the Name of Jesus Christ who laid down His life for us, Amen.
