God made me to know him, to love him, and to serve him in this world and to be happy with him forever in the next.” Here, in just 26 words, is the whole reason for our existence. Jesus answered the question even more briefly: “I came so that [you] might have life and have it more abundantly” (John 10:10).

The mission of the Church is to help us be with God when we die for our eternal salvation. Catholics believe that Christ founded a visible Church—which subsists in the Catholic Church—and has protected its doctrines from error.

The Church offers the Sacraments that Christ provided for our benefit. Baptism, Confession and the Eucharist where we can receive the Body and Blood of Christ and 4 other sacraments.

Jesus said it is not enough to have faith in him; we also must obey his commandments. “Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ but do not do the things I command?” (Luke 6:46, Matt. 7:21–23, 19:16–21).

All the alternatives to Catholicism are showing themselves to be inadequate: the worn-out secularism that is everywhere around us and that no one any longer finds satisfying, the odd cults and movements that offer temporary community but no permanent home, even the other, incomplete brands of Christianity. As our tired world becomes ever more desperate, people are turning to the one alternative they never really had considered: the Catholic Church. They are coming upon truth in the last place they expected to find it.

Yeshuah is a Jew...not a Catholic.

All alternatives to Yeshuah are inadequate.

He is the Old Testament and the New Testament. They are ONE.

He is not Catholic nor Protestant...He is spreading the Jewish faith around the world.

Total agreement.

I go to Mass secondarily to hear the Word. Primarily, because it presents the intersection of Heaven with earth, in the form of the Eucharist and the liturgy that executes it.

After years of being Catholic, it’s only recently becoming apparent to me.

There is no way to participate in that, alone. Must be Mass, in a church, with others and a priest. No other way.

"God made me to know him, to love him, and to serve him in this world and to be happy with him forever in the next."

Those very words --- those very words saved me from suicide once, and that's the God's-honest-truth.

Thank you

I have been to Catholic Mass, many times.
Last time I went to Catholic Mass it was in Latin and my cousins couldn’t eat meat on Friday.

You informed, "Catholics believe that Christ founded a visible Church—which subsists in the Catholic Church—and has protected its doctrines from error." Perhaps the very root of the difference in the religion known as catholiciism, and real Christianity.

The CHURCH (*Ekklesia) Jesus is building is not a 'visible' church, it is a spiritual church, a Body of those who believe in Jesus as The One God sent for our salvation. Here is what JESUS said about spirit:

6 What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Don’t be astonished that I told you, ‘All of you must be born from above.’ 8 The wind blows where it wants to. You hear its sound, but you don’t know where it comes from or where it is going. That’s the way it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”John 3

And here is what JESUS said of spiritual birth (not an institutional thing like catholiciism):

3 Jesus replied to him, “Truly, I tell you emphatically, unless a person is born from above he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
4 Nicodemus asked him, “How can a person be born when he is old? He can’t go back into his mother’s womb a second time and be born, can he?”
5 Jesus answered, “Truly, I tell you emphatically, unless a person is born of water and Spirit he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Don’t be astonished that I told you, ‘All of you must be born from above.’

As to WHO is protecting from error, catholiciism is racked with blasphemous rituals, yet we have the Word of God in the Bible, so we may rightly concluded that it is GOD Who protects from error ... and yet the Catholic Bible, the Douey-Reims Bible, has changes made to the Word of GOD in their institutional attempt to give foundation to their heresies -- like the change in Genesis which has been brought to your attention on more than one occasion.

Jesus said it is not enough to have faith in him; we also must obey his commandments.

I see that the "Saved by grace; Kept by works" viewpoint has appeared.

John 6:28-29

Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”

Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”

1 John 3:21-24
Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him. And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us.

Catholics believe that Christ founded a visible Church—which subsists in the Catholic Church—and has protected its doctrines from error.

Meaning that assurance of the former propaganda is based upon the latter. For Rome has presumed to infallibly declare she is and will be perpetually infallible whenever she speaks in accordance with her infallibly defined (scope and subject-based) formula, which renders her declaration that she is infallible, to be infallible, as well as all else she accordingly declares.
