A 12-year-old Mormon girl courageously stood up in front of members of her Utah church to tell them she was gay - only to have officials cut off her microphone and tell her to sit down.
Savannah revealed to churchgoers in Utah County, south of Salt Lake City, last month that she was a lesbian and told them she was proud God had made her that way.
Standing behind a lectern in front of her congregation, Savannah read her prepared speech, telling the crowd: 'I believe I was made the way I am, all parts of me, by my heavenly parents.'
'They did not mess up when they gave me brown eyes, or when I was born bald. They did not mess up when they gave me freckles or when they made me to be gay.
'God loves me just this way because I believe that he loves all his creations. I do believe he made me this way on purpose, no part of me is a mistake.'

And she would be absolutely wrong.
I’m astonished that people now entertain the notion that they are perfect. There is no sense that sin has corrupted them in their capacity for irrational feeling and sensing and not just conscious thinking. That they trust feelings in ways and for things they would and do deem thinking and believing, which are acts of the will, to be utterly contemptible for.
Indeed, they sincerely hold anyone who doubts or disagrees with the validity of their feels as being contemptible, as little Eichmanns, and the worst people to have ever lived AND they also do so by-proxy, as champions for the feels of others they imagine they should be if they had those feels themselves.
They have heart flutters (or whatever) under certain circumstances, or imagine that they COULD feel that way in some alternate version of themselves, and so those are absolute facts, and they are basically put off on God as if they were HIS doing ... the same way the rising sun or the blue sky may be.
This is why you cannot argue with the situationally insane, for to them their madness seems MOST normal, not least.
Kids today! What are you gonna do with them?
Most of us go through a know-it-all phase early in life.
Then later, after you leave the family home, assuming you have been blessed with a family, you start seeing all the little nuances of perceptions held by other people.
Eventually, one may decide to question their own judgement about what is or is not acceptable. That definition of what is acceptable usually depends on what outcome is expected.
One example; I was raised to always tell the truth. Come to find out that most people lie at various times for various reasons. Some lie due to the needs of diplomacy, while others lie due to the needs of personal conveniance, with no regards to any collateral damage that may result.
This young girls idea of what perfection means is likely to change in the next 15 years.
Am not blaming her so much. From reading this article seems her parents don’t have better sense. A 12 year old does not know their sexuality. If she really thinks she’s a lesbian at this age then really suspect sexual abuse when she was younger.

Notice how the headline uses caps for the words ‘CUT OFF’... insinuating that it was wrong, and somehow intolerant.
12 year old lesbian. Really? Reminds me of the old adage children should be seen, not heard. This child is twisted, and I hope it is just a phase she grows out of when she is an adult.
I watched the video in a state of disbelief. She said her heavenly ‘parents’ made her that way, and that she was glad that ‘they’ did. God doesn’t make mistakes, He/She made her the way she is - not taking any responsibility whatsoever for her choice...
P.S. do Mormons teach their children right from wrong?
At the age of 12 or younger, what child REALLY knows what their sexuality preference is going to be?
I’d guess only ones who are being abused (mentally and/or physically) by a parent, sibling or authority figure.

I didn’t mean to disparage their religion, that was a poor choice of words I used - I meant to say, do they not teach their children about the benefits/blessings of celibacy?

Somehow I suspect this is the homosexual agenda attacking the Mormon church. They are just using a 12 year old child this time. In reality no church is safe and the left will use any means necessary to launch an attack.
Homosexuality is a choice, not an innate state of being. She wasn’t born that way, she chose that path, spurned on by the constant bombardment of pro-gay press and television.
12 year old kids don’t do stuff like this. Someone is grooming/controlling her.
Several identical twin studies show zero (”0”) measurable genetic component in lesbian homosexuality. Something environmental is driving this girl.
the gay political pressure group used to strongly promote the idea that being gay was a rational choice made by clear thinking adults. It got them nowhere politically.
They the shrewdly changed their tune and then promoted the entirely opposite idea that being gay was genetically determined in the womb. Once they choose this path, they started getting serious political traction.
