Many make the argument that “soon” is in the context of “a thousand years are as a day to the Lord and a day as a thousand years”. But Revelation is clearly talking about “soon” from a human perspective.
It is no longer “soon”. That has long ago passed.

The gathering of believers who comprise The Great Multitude in White Robes (Revelation 7:9ff) will take place between September 5, 2017 and October 5, 2017. September 5, 2017 is the start of The Great Tribulation. October 5, 2017 is Sukkot, also known as the Festival of Tabernacles, also known as the Festival of Ingathering.

The Great Multitude in White Robes come out of The Great Tribulation (Revelation 7:14), so their gathering cannot occur before the start of The Great Tribulation (September 5, 2017).

The Great Multitude in White Robes will be in the throne room in heaven no later than the Festival of Ingathering on October 5, 2017. Look at what they are holding in their hands - palm branches! Palm branches are required for the Festival of Ingathering (Leviticus 23:40).

The Great Sign of the Woman appears on September 23, 2017 exactly at sunset in Jerusalem - exactly at the end of Rosh Ha Shanah, exactly at the time of the blowing of “the last trump.” [The two (2) day observance will start one day late this year.] This may be the “rescue/rapture” date. Imminent means just that. We’re living in the last days now and the folks who least expect it (about 98% of the world) will be caught with their pants down when it happens.

Well, without setting a date, as I am wont to NOT do; let me relate a little personal story.

This became a somewhat-recurring mantra of a friend, who really, really, really hung with me during the tough times, which have been many lo these past few years. Especially a few years ago and before that.
Not long after popping this mantra, this person began telling me how they were starting to believe some of the stuff Obama said. Eventually, it appeared that this person was a closet Hillary supporter - much to my shock given what we know about both Obama and Hillary (he is not as well-informed on them - my guess trusting the MSM).
We have not spoken for over a year and a half.
Yes, this particular mantra caught my eye, alright. Especially since this mantra is one of the last things I remember him mentioning rather adamantly over the phone in one of our last conversations.

Depending on the translation, the word ‘Is’ shows 1,891 times. It NEVER means ‘represents’. About 107 time ‘is’ is followed by the word ‘like’, as in “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field.” Nobody confuses the kingdom of heaven with a man.

When I said about 98%, I meant that. Even here on this “conservative” board, it’s infested with mockers and unbelievers. Look around at your neighborhood these days and you know what I’m talking about.
Yep. Met many with fingers in their ears. Worked with them, too. At least one pretty much considered islam to be a sister faith when I happened to mention the truth about what the koran says.
BTW, he’s out there “preaching” last I knew (several years ago). That’s what he was in school for.
Any wonder there’s little discernment? Like I said before, I sat through the mandatory “church services” on site every month for over 2 years. Not once, NOT ONCE, did anyone even have a Bible up there, nor quote it, nor preach out of it nor do I ever recall a single verse being mentioned.
You can draw your own conclusions from that. Oh, there were more than a couple of Barack supporters working there, too. Big surprise.
