SPLC ‘Hate Map’ Targets Christians, Pro-Family Groups
The National Catholic Register ^ | 8/31/17 | Joan Frawley Desmond

Posted on 09/01/2017 9:08:43 PM PDT by marshmallow

The Southern Poverty Law Center lists the Alliance Defending Freedom and other Christian organizations as ‘extremist,’ and they have decided to fight back.

WASHINGTON — When Jennifer Roback Morse, the Catholic founder and president of the Ruth Institute, tried to register her nonprofit for the “Amazon Smile” program, which allots a percentage of a customer’s purchase to a designated charity, she witnessed firsthand the outsized power of the Southern Poverty Law Center.

“You have been excluded from the Amazon Smile program because the Southern Poverty Law Center lists the Ruth Institute in an ineligible category,” stated a December 2016 email from Amazon in a reference to the center’s designation of the Ruth Institute as an “anti-LGBT” extremist group in its widely publicized “hate map.”

Yet the Ruth Institute has never been implicated in any political violence, nor does it have any ties to recognized extremist organizations. The nonprofit’s mission, Morse told the Register, is “to create a mass movement to end family breakdown by energizing the survivors of the sexual revolution.

“I got involved in the gay-marriage debates because I could see that redefining marriage would end up redefining parenthood and creating new inequalities among children,” Morse added. “Some children would have a legally recognized right to know both of their parents, and other children would not.”

She emphasized, however, that most of her work focuses on the behavior and choices of heterosexual couples.

“How this has to do with ‘hate,’ I cannot say,” she said.

This is actually good. Radical organization that they are, they used to be able to fake being legit.
When they attack everyday Christians, it’s actually the beginning of their fall into irrelevance.

So besides SPLC who made SPLC the authority on who, and what is hate?

Perhaps we should authorize ourselves to designate SPLC a hate society projecting their hatred of all things Christian as that is precisely what they are doing.

The SPLC is another tool of the far left in their war against our constitution, our way of life, our nation, us.

From my earlier post during the Tea Party movement:

Mark Potok, director of publications and information for the Southern Poverty Law Center is quoted as saying,“I think it’s very clear that you see ideas coming out of all kinds of sectors of the radical right, from the immigrant radical right, from the so-called Patriot groups, the militias and so on — and you see it spreading right across the landscape at some of these Tea Party events,” he says. “I think it’s worth saying that much of this is aided and abetted by ostensibly mainstream politicians and media members. ... I think a lot of these ideas start on the radical right, but they are also being flogged endlessly by Republican officials,” he says. “Even those who are sort of considered [to be] responsible Republicans have completely abstained from any kind of criticism of this talk. So even way back when, when Sarah Palin was talking about Obama setting up death panels and so on — what we heard was a deafening silence from the mainstream of the Republican Party.”

Bingo! This strategy by Southern Poverty Law Center needs to be brought into focus, my Free Republic friends. It is this tactic of denigrating the actions of many by the false charges against a few that needs to be brought to the light of scrutiny.

Morris Seligman Dees, founder and chief trial lawyer of the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), is known to be the architect of one of SPLC’s most effective—and most controversial—tactics: exaggerating the prevalence and capabilities of racist and extremist right-wing groups operating in the United States in order to frighten supporters into donating money to SPLC. He has been called “a fraud and a conman,” interested only in “making a pile of money.” I suspect that his organization has been brought into the Obama White House political strategy operations team as a consultant and director of operations against Obama’s critics.

SPLC attorney Gloria Browne candidly admitted that the Center’s programs were devised to cash in on “black pain and white guilt.”

Dees once boasted, “I learned everything I know about hustling from the Baptist Church. Spending Sundays on those hard benches listening to the preacher pitch salvation — why, it was like getting a Ph.D. in selling.”

One of his group’s tactics is suing the leader of a group for the independent actions of one of its members.

Between 2001 and 2004, SPLC was the recipient of 59 foundation grants totaling $3,326,425. The donors included: the Ford Foundation (run by SDS Commie Tom Hayden), the Open Society Institute (George Soros) and the Public Welfare Foundation.

I would suspect that the race card playbook is being studied very carefully by the Obama Regime, with the help of the Dees organization, to put forth a full court press on the Tea Party Movement.

Obama established that the IRS can be used as a method of political revenge. It is time that Trump tells the IRS to go after the Southern Law Conference, or should I say the Offshore Tax Exempt Money Laundering Law Conference.

It is time for political payback. Democrats and Liberals will understand that Karma is a bitch. Alternately, the DOJ could punish those in the Obama Administration that violated laws in using the IRS for political revenge.

The single most corrupt entity in the US besides the government is the legal industry. The SPLC is strong-arm RICO outfit that uses litigation as a weapon to further a political agenda. The existence of such an entity in the US is both repugnant and proof of that industry's failure to police its own ranks of unethical practices/behavior.

Why does the mainstream media give this group credibility? I’m sick of hearing “according to the Southern Poverty Law Center.”

From what I hear, SPLC used to be a good organization, but, obviously, somewhere along the line became corrupted, no doubt for personal gain and wealth. That they can use their non-profit status to foment hatred against good people because they disagree with the ideas of those good people in the area of sexual preference is communistic and unacceptable in a free society. Also, it is an insult to free people to have such a situation where a non-profit can squirrel away nearly a billion dollars in an off shore account where it cannot be tracked and monitored. This smacks of immorality and corruption. Where are you Mr. DOJ? We know we can forget the media who are supposed to be the watchdogs of society. Are they in bed with this group like Apple, George Clooney, Morgan Stanley and others? Probably. America, forget ISIS. They are the least of your enemies. They are not after the corruption of America’s very soul like these people are.

It's about time people are waking up to this shame outfit. I've known of them foe years. With their labeling groups and individuals as racist or Hate groups.
They are on par with the Sierra Foundation. And others like that.

There is no free speech in the USA.

You can use Judicial Watch, Accuracy in Media or Institute for Justice on Amazon Smile. They still work. Will the nazis get around to blocking them? probably.

I doubt the SPLC,like the ACLU,ever intended anything other than the destruction of the United States of America as a basically Christian nation and replacing it with a godless communist dictatorship. One has only to look at the record of who and what both groups consistently attack.
