More British women than men are starting training as priests for the first time in 16 years, the Church of England said.
Of the 544 people in this autumns intake which is the biggest since 2007 some 274 ordinands are women while 270 are men, according to data from the Church of Englands Ministry Division.
It is the first time men have been outnumbered since 2001, when 238 entered training for ordained ministry compared to 243 women.
The figure also represents the highest number of women beginning their journey to priesthood in a decade.
The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.
Gee...I wonder if any of them are lesbians..
Probably most of them. But, the altar boys will be safe.
Who is counting and why?
And like everything else where they take control, women will surely destroy these churches as well.
Priestesses are plentiful in parish paganism.
For many decades, many Anglican priests had valid orders. (Some acquired on the down-low from Catholic bishops on the Continent, with a wink and a nod from Rome.)
With female priestettes, the Anglicans are giving up what valid sacraments they ever had.
Why does that happen?
And more Catholics in Great Britain are attending Church than Anglicans.
Is the percentage of lesbians known?
