Pastor JD asks why it should take 38 minutes to announce that it was a mistake. He also bring up the issue of “crying wolf” and compares it to tsunami warnings in Hawaii that weaken people’s response when there ends up being no tsunami.
He also points out “Where are you gonna go?” in Hawaii, which has no basements.

While reading Moshe Idel's book Kabbalah and Eros I discovered this very interesting note.
13. The numerical equivalent of sheqel like nefesh – soul, is 430.
The reference to division of the mediators concerns between the sensory and intellective world,
i.e., “half for you, half for God,” is to BT, Pesahim, fol. 68b.
Quoting R. Isaac of Acre.
So the gematria of shekel is 430, and for nefesh (soul) 430.
But then I said (to no one in particular), why would we give a half shekel? Wouldn't we give a whole shekel?
It was then I caught a glimpse into the concept of the soul mate. half!
