Commenting on the widespread sin and wickedness in America today, preacher Anne Graham Lotz, the daughter of Billy Graham, said then when the evil is so widespread and people do not repent, then "God backs away" and leaves people to their own corruption. She added that God eventually will rattle America to repentance through some cataclysmic event, such as a "nuclear strike, an earthquake," or an "EMP attack that devastates our electrical grid."

She’s right. When God is pushed out of a nation, Hell moves in. And, it won’t be pretty.
Jonathan Cahn, who is widely castigated on FR, said much the same thing in his book, The Harbinger.
His contention in the book was that 9/11 was a warning sign, a harbinger (hence the title), that God was removing His hand of protection from the US because of our sin. That we needed to heed that warning and turn back to Him in repentance.
In spite of abortion continuing and the whole homosexual movement spiraling out of control, and the Deep State, etc, God, for whatever purpose, has put Donald Trump in office.
My own theory on that is that God is allowing us to see the evil and presenting to us the godly in contrast to that, and giving people the option to choose. And since the distinction is becoming more and more clear cut, the evil is growing all the worse exponentially, when people choose, they are choosing with eyes wide open.
When God finally unleashes His judgment, there’s not a person who can say they did not know. If they are choosing the evil, they KNOW what they are choosing.

Of course she is right. When we have the top people at the FBI and DOJ with such lack of integrity it is not a “symptom” of moral decay it is an intentional feature. A purposeful drive toward degeneration ethically as if it were a goal.
That’s an interesting perspective which I am inclined to agree with. In my view, what also seems to be happening is that many who see this contrast, and refuse to reconsider their path, are in fact, becoming even more rebellious. It’s as if you can see their hatred deepen within as they become even more brazen in their error and their growing intensity of their defense of their sin.
It seems as many are saying, “We can do whatever we want, whenever we want. There is no God, and those who claim there is a God are those uneducated hayseeds who seek to restrict me and tell me what to do. I am the master of all. I control my own life and we can control the planet.”
It is really sad to witness this growing darkness and to watch as society lose its collective ability to reason and discern. It seems to be a slow decent into madness.
Remember this: Not ONE “end-of-the-world” prophecy, from the beginning of time, has been correct.

The more I study Scripture, the less I trust in cataclysm.

America does seem to like the idea of a last minute rousing and overcoming, but “Today” is the day God set aside to BELIEVE IN THE DEATH, BURIAL AND RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST.
Frighteningly, His cataclysms can harden men, too (see: Pharoah’s plagues in Exodus; scorched men in Rev. 16)
Respectfully, I don’t think they’re talking about the “End of the World” here but the end of the United States as we know it.
You are correct, however you omit one end-of-the-world prophesy that has been made that will most certainly come to pass.
[Remember this: Not ONE “end-of-the-world” prophecy, from the beginning of time, has been correct.]

God is coming back into our nation. America is clearly God’s instrument for righting the world. HE will not abandon us no matter what she says.
My sister, mother and I were just talking about this yesterday. The breakdown of the moral fabric of our country is frightening.
In that you are correct since there have been many making this prediction for ages. Heck they made it during the years after the dark ages.
BUT. You must agree with the prediction from scriptures about the later days when son will turn against father, father against son, brother against brother, mother against father...etc.

Yep. Look at Europe. They are allowing the muslim invasion.
The cataclysmic event doesn't have to be an earthquake but just allowing the country to dissolve and crumble under these godless people. The difference between Europe and America is that Europe embraced secularism while America is embracing a false gospel or multi paths to heaven/God... The Christians in this country need to repent from this and turn back towards the true Biblical Jesus.
