I personally know of a couple of people (both male and female) who were 100% “committed” homosexuals - fully-practicing, who were transformed by the power of Christ and now are very happy, healthy, heterosexuals, married with children. On page 37, the other relevant result relates to men.
The 13th research question addressed, of homosexual men who have been molested, what percentage were molested before self-identification as homosexual men, and what percentage were molested after self-identification as homosexual? Of homosexual men who were molested, 68% were molested before self-identification as homosexual, and 32% were molested after self-identification as homosexual.

I have done a lot of counseling with men who struggle with same-sex attraction.  Some have been in the lifestyle, others have battled with lust and pornography.  I would estimate that in three-fourths of the cases, there was some sort of sexual abuse or misconduct that formed a powerful memory which contributed to the struggle.  (3)

My gut is the mother coddling is more resultant than causative in those cases

every homosexual I have met is troubled by one, or more, demons - addiction, disease, rampant promiscuity, depression, suicide, violence (from other gays).

I even met some homosexuals who literally told me they HATED begin gay. One older homosexual (who by that point was old and alone) even told me “Why would anyone want to live like this???!!!”

They are severely conflicted. At some level, they all understand their behavior is self-destructive. Sadly, our cultural-marxist/relativist society now just increase that conflict and cognitive dissonance.

Intimacy from physical contact you only can get from intercourse

This is strictly anecdotal observations of sixty years

I’ve known a dozen attractive lesbians who went that way after abuse from males and ultimately returned to men

And contrary to what most would think they didn’t return to meterosexuals but rather alpha males...robust virile men

Which tells me they missed a nice rail.

I know many people who have come out of homosexuality but they became bisexuals. But still, they came out. It’s not as hard-wired as they make it out to be.
